Thank you and glad you enjoyed this episode. Cathy was a really fun guest to have on the show.
I was actually thinking about this, if you are up for it I think it would be great to have you back on to talk more about Nostr and other unusual things.
One of our recent clips features @nprofile…u33x the person that not only introduced me to Nostr, but made it understandable in a way I am not certain I would have gotten without this episode. I would also like to give him a big shout out for all of the assistance he has given and still continues to give willingly. Awesome guy, and I am extremely happy to have made his acquaintance. https://relay.spacetomatoes.net/893706911fbdc13f33c4823e316ae7ec0afac8570bcbe4e5ee1cbc13b9eade78.mp4
Just ordered more @nprofile…3ya6 and some of those amazing Strawberries from @nprofile…ahde at @nprofile…03nm because this particular economy needs more spending if it's to be the thing that replaces the fuggery of the fiat system. Support your local, or not so local, Nostrich! Now if I could get @nprofile…rlfc to make more Silly Nodes... 😁
At least this particular void isn't a serious time suck full of engagement farming slop. I hear ya, but hey, you are seen, or at least I saw this. Carry on.
Keith Barton spent 16 years and a lot of dollars in lawyers inside America's family court system. When he stopped hiring lawyers, he won his own appeal pro se. Then he wrote the fix in 5 pages, and now he is running for Congress in Texas to make states fund fathers instead of custody wars.
The math behind the mission: 22 million kids flow through family court every year, and studies he cites put 70 to 85 percent of violent crime behind people raised by a single parent. Equal parenting means higher earnings, less abuse, less welfare, less crime. His fix: judge checklists, written rulings, and federal incentives that respect the 10th Amendment.
Then we nerd out on the Proximal War series. Real Marine Corps air ground tactics 5,000 years in the future. What actually happens when humanity meets a Type II civilization. Liquid-born silicon aliens with triple helix DNA, Dyson rings built from dismantled moons, warp corridors that fold space like paper, and zero hand-waving (he did the orbital mechanics himself).
Plus Huey war stories only a naval aviator can tell: under the Golden Gate Bridge, inside Mount Pinatubo, low over DC, a Huey with no hydraulic fluid on the floor is a Huey you get out of, 15 mission sets to the C-130's 9, and call signs you earn by messing up (his: Krusty, with a K).
Author of the Proximal War series, the Joey America children's books, and the travel read series. 20 year Marine Corps veteran, Huey pilot, congressional candidate, family court reform advocate.

Yeah we aren't even done with the year and 2026 has almost doubled the CVE's from 2025. The acceleration will continue.
No guests this week. Just Havok and LX in pure host only chaos. Local AI agent that drafts clips and schedules posts (while we still hand-edit everything), Instagram confusion, why digital price tags can get bent, LX’s eGym adventures, cats that refuse to be house pets, and the reverse OnlyFans idea that got shut down immediately. Unscripted, zero filter, plenty of tangents. https://fountain.fm/episode/4dXjs8Kmv7LpshH9KrSP
You cannot run a cotton gin with no access to cotton.
Very good plan, those thorns are very angry.
It is, and also good in salads and lots of other stuff, including a good sammich.
Hack them back, drop some around your fence line for a natural barrier, then eat the rest. Nopales are amazeballs!!
I love Rotties. I have had one for most of my life, although ours still has the coffee table clearing device attached, also doubles as a bass drum stick.
What if the war stopped in 1939, after Kristallnacht and the invasion of Poland, and the world still had to live with what it almost did? Author, podcaster, and history student Herman Forwood joins Havok and LX on The Space Tomatoes Podcast to walk through Twilight of Democracy: World's Descent into Darkness, the alternate-1950 historical fantasy he started in 2022. Not baby-Hitler fan fiction. A second-chance world, Anne Frank at 21, a weakened Soviet Union that never got the Nazi scientists, Japan left as a Pacific superpower, and an America that annexes Greenland. He wrote that last bit before the headlines caught up.
Then the thought experiment turns around and points at now. Vietnam’s “hearts and minds,” both Desert Storms, Gaza, Iran’s 90 million, and why empathy falls off a cliff about 20 miles from your driveway. Social-media posts versus letters to actual politicians. Votes that feel like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Why a free election is not a template you can mail to Palestine or Tehran. Why sanctions mostly punish the people, not the fat cats. And why the bar has dropped from “lift someone’s life” to “please don’t kill me, and let me have the Tylenol.”
Detours include The Man in the High Castle, Plot Against America, Operation Paperclip, a pizza treaty, cauliflower crust, HOA flower-bed tribunals, and the preorder for Secrets and Murders, his gated-community murder mystery aimed at spring 2027.
Guest: Herman Forwood, author of Twilight of Democracy and Echoes of the Ancients. Based in California. Grew up in the Middle East through high school. Episode: https://fountain.fm/episode/3cIuLM3flaqLehdPTmIU

Haha. I was thinking the same thing as I wrote the note.
Great pics. I can't zap you though.
Some get broken and placed in the tannerite filled garden gnomes... maybe. 😁 Honestly, why would anyone throw away a good glass jar, I have shelves of them.
@nprofile…qnef sounds like bullishmarket.eu is in order...

Covid: They canceled the concerts, the weddings, and the paychecks. George Fontes kept a 27-year events company alive with church LED walls and sheer stubbornness. New Space Tomatoes with Havok & LX: Locked stages. Real line arrays. Dio was actually cool. Auto-Tune country is a crime. The economy caught up years later. Plus crowd psychology, data-center water fights, and why the monitor engineer is the one actually sweating. Full episode up now.

Is there an east feed import type feature?
I'm still here... 25, 25, 25!!!
Heck I will even do it for the cost of shipping if I can. Just because, pay it forward with a swan.
I don't think we are allowed to trap them, but I will check and if so, I will get you a black swan. 😁
Me too, but probably for an entirely different reason. They are legal to hunt here, that is a lot of neck and man the neck is sooooo good. Sorry if that was disturbing.
Same. I think I have now watched that at least a dozen times.
Unfortunately it's all gone now. I will be placing another order soon and will make sure to post pics and tag you. Question does the discount also apply to a half or full beef?
Just ordered from thema couple of weeks ago, I didn't know this part. The meat is excellent quality though, the Tri Tip was amazing, the elk tenderloin satisfied a craving I have had for a few years, on of the best meats on the planet imho. #nevent1q…3ll6
Get some geese, you will be cured of this feeling, possibly forever.
It may have been, you know how those things go at times. Very interesting story for sure, and pretty funny too.
Guess what. I sic'd my openclaw agent on finding this story, here it is in all it's glory, or maybe ingloriousness, eye of the beholder and all.
Found it. Here's the story:
**The chicken Polly heist, Port Orchard, Washington**
- **When:** March 29, 2025, early Saturday morning. So you're right, recent enough to be on bodycam.
- **What happened:** A 50 year old man allegedly kicked in his ex girlfriend's back door, stole her pet chicken named Polly, and took off yelling "I've got Polly!" He'd been released from jail just 2 to 3 hours earlier on unrelated charges and was under a protection order. Deputies found him hiding in a wooded area on J.M. Dickinson Road, still clutching the bird.
- **The line you remembered:** On the bodycam he's pleading about the bird ("Don't hurt my chicken," "He's my baby"), and when Polly ends up in the back of the patrol car and makes a mess, he offers "I'm sorry, I'll clean it up" and "I'll sit on it, sir." The deputies handle it like pros and tell him it's covered.
- **Charges:** Residential burglary and violating a protection order. Polly was returned unharmed to her owner.
- **The footage:** The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office released the bodycam clip themselves, posted it with the caption "On Patrol. Deputies recover an abducted chicken," and it went viral from there.
Where to watch or read it:
- KIRO 7 Seattle: "Ruffled feathers: Man accused of stealing ex's chicken arrested" https://kiro7.com/news/local/ruffled-feathers-man-accused-stealing-exs-chicken-arrested-port-orchard/TQ4TYEBFYBGMVPWQ4XRW7ASMAA
- The News Tribune (Tacoma): https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/state/washington/article303402541.html
- Bodycam on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMY0zWKLF1U (titled along the lines of "When Cops Have to Arrest a Chicken")
Honest caveat: the "I'll sit on it" quote comes from the video description side of the search results and matches your memory word for word, but I couldn't play the clip here to hear it myself. The KIRO7 article and the sheriff's own post are the authoritative versions of the details. Want me to dig for the sheriff's original X post, or is this the one you were chasing?
I feel like there is a really interesting back story here, or maybe not but I really want to know what that was all about now.
Welcome new Nostrich! I am still relatively new to Nostr, and the key is to find people that share interests and basically create your own feed. Otherwise it does seem like it's all very Bitcoin/Dev centric. That said there are tons of people with their crafted wares being sold, tech geeks, music lovers, musicians, homestead/farmsteaders, freedom lovers and all sorts of others. It's a wonderful place. If I can help with anything, please feel free to ask. #GrowNostr
Two of my favorite subjects, and who doesn't need another bromance in their life... 😂
See that is something I had not considered. Now I have more to ponder. I think the repository is a solid idea, and one I will have to dig into. Thank you!
