Nostr is def a place for the geeks. I always try to imagine me trying to introduce my older Facebook (shudder) relatives to this platform and seeing the confused looks. I'll go as far as to say Bitcoin is also niche, although I'd like it to become mainstream. Maybe in time, decentralized will catch on with the masses. #nostr
I sometimes wonder which I prefer (having lived both for a chunk of time). I think I could learn patience in exchange for a slower pace and better mental health.... Not that it's a real choice for me, with roots planted in the US. Maybe early retirement is needed ;) #mentalhealth #us #uk

I’d forgotten how much slower pace things move in the UK. It’s an adjustment coming from the US. It’s good in some respects and annoying in others.
So many choices, you’re not limited to the big three. I’d say it’s worth getting a subscription eventually, especially if you switch from Googling to using prompt search. No matter which you choose, you can cancel at any time and most agents support the ChstGPT and Claude subscriptions for model access.
Flying back to the UK to see an ill parent. I came home to the USA for a brief interlude and now I’m turning around and heading right on back.
Just make sure it's cooled first ;)

lol, I’d use a physical device to store bitcoin keys. If the cloud’s gone then I’m printing out some essentials and storing it in a lead-lined box.
But I’m up for a challenge, I have a few 16gb drives, let’s see what I can get on one.
Nothing important, these inexpensive storage media devices aren’t good for any long term storage. Honestly, the cloud is better bet.
If we’re talking apocalypse, then a few photos of loved ones and encryption keys in the event that the chain survives.

lol, sounds like a lot of my OCD projects.... spend hours setting up, getting it just right, fixing the nuances.... and.... then it sits ;)
I will say that Kathy is getting a workout. I've switched from the ChatGPT installed app to Hermex with the same sub and using Kathy to do my documentation, coding, and research tasks.
Let's see if she's as busy next month.
Curious if you're still running Ted. I have Kathy on #hermes and am pleased with the results thus far. I opted to consolidate my AI memory from all my agents in Hindsight and that's proving reliable.
I've not tried connecting Kathy to Nostr yet... that's next.

I'm pleasantly surprised by my employer on how they handled my recent DTO request.
In light of a pre-employment booked vacation and recent news of a family member illness, I've had to take what I thought was more than my share of time off. Some employers would have shrugged and declined my request; mine discussed flexibility in my planned absence, availability to work, and acknowledged that time off is healthy for employee well-being.
As a small company, I was concerned I'd get the "DTO is not unlimited, and on the old plan you'd have had....". Happy to know I work for an organization that values their staff.
