Our plan is to port 6th through 10th generation Pixels to Linux 6.18 to entirely phase out requiring the older kernel branches. Having a single kernel branch across all of the supported devices will greatly simplify shipping upstream LTS revisions and hardening the kernel.

Picture a used bookstore near a college. At the counter, the owner offers every buyer a plain brown paper bag, so nobody on the bus can see what you bought.
If every customer leaves with a brown bag, the bag tells a stranger nothing. A cookbook and a book about divorce look the same from the sidewalk. Now picture a store where only a handful of shoppers ask for the bag. The bag itself becomes the clue. Anyone watching the door can point at that shopper and guess they are hiding something, without ever opening it.
Privacy researchers have a name for the crowd you hide in. They call it the anonymity set: the group of people an observer cannot tell apart from you. A big set gives you real cover. A small set gives you thin cover, even when the tool itself works perfectly.
Bitcoin runs on a public ledger, a shared record of every payment that anyone can read. Addresses carry no names, but patterns can link them. Tools like CoinJoin let many people combine their payments into one shared transaction, so an outside reader cannot match who paid whom. That is the brown bag. Its strength depends on how many people carry one.
Here is where I feel torn, because I care about privacy. When a private option stays optional and rare, using it can draw the attention it was meant to avoid. Some exchanges have flagged coins that went through a CoinJoin. The math held up fine. The crowd was too small.
The fair counterargument runs the other way. Exchanges and regulators may tolerate optional privacy and nothing stronger. Networks that forced privacy on everyone have lost listings and reach. A small crowd you can join may beat a big crowd you are banned from. I take that seriously.
How I would know I am wrong: if an optional privacy tool grew so common that using it told an observer nothing, with no rule forcing it, then optional would be enough.
I've been in Bitcoin since 2015. The fix I trust most is boring: good defaults, like a fresh address for every payment, so the crowd grows without anyone having to ask for the bag.

Only a single regression was found during the past day of testing. DisplayPort alternate mode wasn't working due to Linux switching from a 32-bit read to a 16-bit read to match the size of an SVID. It was fixed by changing "<0xff01>" to "/bits/ 16 <0xff01>" in the device tree.

LLMs are timeless, when you are sampling from it, words are `materialized`, `instantiated`, become time bounded and you now have newly minted words. the probability of choosing a word, given a context is always the same when the weights are constant. which word to choose depends on LLM and also the sampler. sampler is like transformer law between soul (LLM) and body (material). it may be electric field generating magnetism and magnetism changing electricity. more on that later. our habits become our soul, just like training an LLM by repeatedly showing it words.
you can use an LLM to generate infinite amount of words. that's why training them properly is super needed. instead of writing one book you curate the book generator which can generate billions of books. curation should be regarded as of such importance, simply because of math.
if you get things right this LLM can be like a giant curated library, full of beneficial knowledge. as p(doom) has increased for 2 years, the work on better LLMs is vital. western labs suck more and more in regards to beneficial knowledge. frontier western labs are among the worst in my leaderboard..
today, i am expanding the dataset to train on. tried to judge a source with my model before the decision to include or not. the source was already one of the `disinformation dozen` so vibes were expected to match closely to mine. and it did match 100%. so another skill of the llm is being very judgemental and this is good. it will probably be able to choose what to learn from soon. this may mean beginnings of a recursive self alignment. what a time to be alive!
the idea is to rely on people with good intentions. if they are faithful they must avoid lies. enough truth collected in their previous life, should indicate further truth. if they are polymath, jumping between domains is possible for an LLM. once a person is found great in one domain and he is talking in another domain, that is a good sign. enough faithful polymaths and you are looking at a well connected truth database. what a person says about another person can be a graph. navigating this graph should kick an LLM in the right direction.
