i was playing chess with my guy at breakfast, he didn't get any of my nerdy chessy innuendos
😭
"are we playing a slow, positional game, or are you rushing for a quick mate?"
"i think you’re trapped. i’ve got you in a mating net."
fortunately my mother was observing and she was giggling because she's nerdier at chess than me
A gazing ball can appear beautiful and you may become fascinated with its brilliance; but inside is complete darkness and light cannot penetrate through its pride. When its brittle body breaks, you discover all you thought was beautiful was merely being reflected from it, and the truth is that it was hollow, fragile and offered nothing from within itself. This is vanity.
gotta love the avatar on the second comment.

@nprofile…wzjf: When will you have a share URI pattern which enables client users to one-click open Nostr-shared web URLs in @nprofile…wzjf?
Maybe I need to request this from @nprofile…wywf? Or do I have to go all in and set @nprofile…wzjf as the default browser in Android?

I like this take. We won't be able to vote for freedom because most the majority enjoys bondage.
We have an awesome underground railroad on the Internet for people who hate bondage though.

Every sports broadcast is drowning in gambling ads.
It isn't a regulation change.
It's what happens when holding cash loses value every year.
A money that punishes saving turns everyone into a speculator.

I've heard of this before, thanks for sharing. I used to listen to Free Talk Live regularly until they locked up Ian Freeman. I've been attracted to moving to New Hamster for the freedom, but the cold weather I find somewhat forbidding.🥶

GM nostr. No Junk November is now a tradition for me third year running and this time my husband is joining!
It came as a way to build the willpower muscle against Halloween chocolate floating in my face all day.
“Lordy Lordy look who’s forty” (almost) is ringing in my head waking up with back pain this morning. No doubt it’s side effects from the Halloween mom taxes from last night; An inflammation storm.
It’s nice that when you mostly don’t eat junk, if you do eat junk, you understand why you don’t eat junk.

Gauteng seeks funding to fix R500 and R563 sinkholes
https://www.thesouthafrican.com/news/gauteng-seeks-funding-to-fix-r500-and-r563-sinkholes/
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is seeking additional funding from the provincial Treasury to repair sinkholes affecting the R500 and R563 roads.
