Stand-up is a rare art form where you can get up in front of a bunch of people and actually *tell the truth*
It requires skill and thick skin but if you can develop it I think its very rewarding.
Whats the cost difference from the regular versions?
I will pay a company if they provide some fucking customer support
But they were unavailable, dismissive and had to be browbeat into actually looking into it.
He's the musical ancestor of the two guys in the previous one.
You seem confused whether the conversation is about wallet sync or node gossip
But obviously whichever one it is, you are sure totally compromised 🙄
Oh well, shot in the dark.
How about a more classical slant?

Sent you an invite to the Tbone channel if you want to make any suggestions.
mynymbox would never have such terrible support 🙂

Mfkin servers[.]guru put my VPS offline 5 days BEFORE the bill was due
and after I paid the invoice, dashboard said "running" but none of my services are there, cant SSH.
and support isn't available for 8 hrs apparently.
not impressed.
Pretty much team T-bone now. Its got everything I want for #nostr and it looks nice.

Yeah you're probably right.
But mow usage will still die our anyway. It just happened faster.
what is so hard about this?
Just have a fucking node and use it already.
Its almost the year of our Lord 2027 and Bitcoin maxis are telling me to vibe code my own nostr client.
If you use Bitcoin or Monero with any frequency, just run a damn node somewhere and use it.
what network-level privacy problem?

I have a wireguard tunnel back to my subnet.
Dandelion is part of the protocol. Your transaction gets passed around being broadcast everywhere, so its not known which tx originate from what node.
Its built into the incentives.
The hard cap is a design flaw.
Why? Because you don't trust dandelion?
I just have a wireguard tunnel home.
My node is on my subnet, why tf would I connect through Tor?
Easy auditability was chosen because nobody would trust an obfuscated chain. The first mover HAD to be transparent.
And there wasn't any other plausible option anyway.
My node is on my subnet.
Why would I sync through Tor?

sweet! i have two 5950s so I get 31 when I can run them both.
my solar system doesn't often allow that except midsummer.
you doing p2pool mini?
the man did walk away from being a twatter influencer, so theres that.
he's been trying to find his way in a fairly honest way i think. the arrogance is just compensating for insecurity 🤷
everybody has got something.
I keep expecting Monero to return to 150 and .003 BTC. Is this the new normal?
Maybe there is something wrong with the thesis that everything trends towards zero versus Bitcoin?
Please advise.
#bitcoin #monero
we seem to be unable to come to agreement about whether self-custody is actually needed or not also 😕
both of those things presuppose the ability to manage private keys.
key control is the biggest unacknowledged issue of our time.
it is a *necessary life skill* for an online population.
Aside from being a reasonable person,
Contra has almost only good takes.
Top tier #nostr follow.

I fuckin love monero fr yo

I made a Cordn coordinator if anyone wants to hop on.
What's one more encrypted chat app?

Okay, lets talk "scarcity".
In the economic sense, scarcity ≠ supply.
The supply (number of units) of a thing could be extremely low, but if there isn't *demand, then it isn't scarce. Theres only one of that bored ape NFT, but dont nobody give a fuck so it isn't scarce.
Contrariwise, there could be a shit-ton of units but demand could also be insane, making the item extremely scarce.
Or the inverse examples of course, high supply with low demand making the item not scarce, or low supply and high demand making it extremely scarce.
So we cant look at supply only and there isn't a direct metric to measure "scarcity" afaict. Scarcity is the market interpretation of the relationship between supply and demand of a commodity.
What does this have to do with Bitcoin maximalism and how they misunderstand basic economics?
I'm glad you asked.
If Bitcoin has low demand, the hard cap does nothing to guarantee economic scarcity. In the case of low demand, it is *not scarce* despite having fixed supply.
Oppositely, the market could consider a Monero MORE scarce than Bitcoin if demand is increasing faster than the tail emission.
#Bitcoin isn't automatically scarce because of fixed supply.
#Monero isn't automatically non-scarce because of tail emission.
we're not blood relatives, just old friends.
but his wife and kids you know?
The XMRmada Concord group now uses my own relay to pass around the encrypted blobs (messages!)
Dittos and Vectors defaults are still there too for redundancy.
Come check out our group chat if your into that kinda thing.

We should just enforce total surveillance on everyone in every facet of their life and there would be no crime.
thanks.

hold your loved ones, don't take it for granted.
@npub1yxp…399s is really worried you don't understand how the transaction fee you pay on a L1 affects the fungibility of your transaction.
so i wrote some stuff.
