I believe there's some truth to this.
At the same time, the entire point in all this was never to "win" in any meaningful sense. Western support was always meant to tie up Putin and keep him occupied, as we dump money and tech into Ukraine and essentially halt Putin's expansionist plans, which he outlined prior to the assault on Ukraine. It's always seemed to me that Western intervention is designed to promote biological regime change: Putin is geriatric by Russian standards, so let's just buy time.
It's worked quite well, and will likely go on. But it can't go on forever.

When I realized this is true: when I, a noob who never studied programming past FORTRAN, could vibe an idea I had. It turned out great, exactly what I wanted it to be, and it required no one else to make it happen.
