I want to be clear. Grok Bot is awesome and fills a long-anticipated need, but it can eat through your tokens because it rereads chat history on every turn.
The longer the conversation, the more expensive it gets until the context is automatically summarized. Add shared memory, multiple bots with their own conversations, and bots communicating with each other, and usage can climb quickly.
There are workarounds, but it's a real issue. The team is aware of it and actively responding in the forum.
Until they get token usage under control, I recommend limiting your automated processes to what's essential, having your bots delegate development work to Claude, and using regular Grok or your preferred chatbot for general research, brainstorming, and back-and-forth conversations, along with dedicated AI tools for image generation—especially if you're running a multi-bot setup.

Just had a call from Apple’s review team… they are being adamant about not approving Nymchat because one small part of it allows accessing purchased AI credits for Nymbot outside of their in-app purchasing system. I already removed all ability to purchase at all in the iOS app and removed any call to action button. So, I either need to fully remove access to purchased credits for Nymbot even if they were purchased through the website with nothing to do with Apple in the Nymchat app, or integrate in-app purchases. What do you propose as a solution that will work universally and at the same time ensure mobile clients do not fetch multiple megabytes of data in the feed or pfp when the don’t need it?

The problem is that everything is lossy. From the nondeterminism of the responses, to models not interpreting every phrasing and description the same, and them simply being a pile of floats, it is nearly impossible to have an agent consistently apply any non-trivial rule.
