The co-pilot of yesterday’s plane crash has been confirmed by her family as Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, a Florida resident. She was 20 years old, licensed at age 17, and whose voice was heard speaking to the air traffic control tower in her last moments. This was only her first year flying a commercial airline. 😭

Sorry to see, but good luck.

Feels like the intelligence layer of AI is starting to plateau. Since Opus, I haven’t seen a leap that makes me think LLMs are getting meaningfully “smarter.”

There’s still runway in agents working together, synthesizing information, and managing physical hardware. But the models themselves? Feels like we’ve peaked.

2026-11-02T16:23:58Z

Binance's TRON withdrawal pool just hit a total of less than $6 USDT.

- Opened withdrawals at 6:10 pm
- Completely drained by 7:47 pm

Why the bottleneck?
Best guess: after a $6B exploit, they are terrified of leaving heavy balances on hot servers. Every refill requires offline air-gapped signers walking into a room.

The queue isn't moving because the risk team is manually drip-feeding the exit door with a pipette.

They have $42M worth of fuel in the tank, but the actual withdrawal pool has less cash than a McDonald's drive-thru order.

2026-11-02T16:23:47Z

It's not the stance of a custodian. It's the stance of a casino boss.

@ultragavin nailed the CEX business model:
- A custodian's promise: your assets will never be lost.
- A casino's logic: lost $6B? Whatever, we'll cover it with our profits.

Binance casually absorbing a $6B nation-state breach doesn't prove it's a secure vault. It just proves how much they extract from liquidated users daily.

The fee is a slow knife. The liquidation engine is a fast knife.

Your balance isn't your coin; it's an unsecured IOU waiting to become their house profits.

Well said.

Binance hacker accidentally deposited $4M back into Binance deposit addresses.

Crypto is so centralized that even the North Korean state hacking syndicate cannot find an instant swap desk that isn't secretly a Binance white-label proxy.

You can rob the bank, run through ten dark alleys, kick open the door of an underground pawn shop, and find CZ standing behind the counter asking for your 2FA code.

Fucking hilarious. 😂

2026-11-02T16:22:40Z

Binance 24h net flow comparison:
- 12 hours ago: -$6.148B
- Now: -$3.292B
- Total reserves: still holding at $127.78B

Meanwhile, the competitor suck-up is drying up just as fast:
- OKX inflows: +$450M → +$284M
- Bybit inflows: +$133M → +$29M
- Robinhood inflows: +$223M → +$14K

The panic peak just passed. They choked the exit doors, drip-fed the withdrawal pools down to $5.94 USDT, and let the panic decay on a timer.

Ugly as hell, but structurally, the casino just survived the most dangerous 48 hours of this cycle.

Web3 incident response logic in one tweet:

"The documentation was fully restored to its previous state as of 9:15 AM. As a precaution, do not click any links in the documentation."

Crypto protocols spend millions formally verifying smart contract bytecode, only to get drained because a junior dev used a light 8-character `P@ssw0rd` on their team GitBook account.

The math is unbreakable, but the docs are hosted on a SaaS with no 2FA.

2026-11-02T16:22:04Z

As a crypto user:
- You can't trust cold wallets (firmware backdoors).
- You can't trust hot wallets (supply chain poison).
- You can't trust stablecoins (freezable).
- You can't trust DeFi (governance takeovers & admin keys).
- You can't trust Google (paid phishing ads).
- You can't trust CEXs (casinos masquerading as vaults).
- You can't trust official docs (GitBook session hijacking).

So what's left to trust?

1. Compiled bytecode on-chain, never the UI.
2. Deterministic reproducible builds, never the store binary.
3. Air-gapped signing machines, never edge servers with spend keys.
4. Raw transaction hex payloads, never human-readable markdown.

Satoshi told you 18 years ago: "A system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust."

Most people have forgotten.

"Your payroll. Our missiles."

The most accurate slogan in Web3 history.

Crypto founders spent five years talking about "permissionless global talent" and "decentralized remote teams."

Turns out half the Rust contributors pushing PRs at 3 AM were working from a server farm in Pyongyang on the Supreme Leader's payroll.

You thought you hired a senior smart contract auditor.
You actually subsidized an ICBM propulsion test.

2026-11-02T16:20:31Z

I said I would strip it, now it's automatically stripped with XMRadar when you copy the url from the share icon of each post.

Also, if you are managing both your X account and Nostr account, the "Copy to Nostr" would be your best friend.

just click the same "share" icon underneath your post, you will find a new "Copy to Nostr" there.

it opens a modal with everything prefilled in, and tags are auto suggested too if you have a local model running.

images are re-uploaded to blossom(by default primal), you can also edit the content and attach new screenshots by simply pasting from your clipboard to the input.

when you're satisfied with it, just press the "Publish" button, it will send it right to nostr relays using your preferred relays.

and it's non-blocking, you can continue scrolling while it's publishing. if some failed somehow, you can just click retry.

if everything goes okay, the panel dismisses after 10s.

so if you see my notes are getting more often on Nostr, don't be surprised, it's all because of XMRadar.

Across the street from my jobsite there's a little boy with his mother, watching the excavator work.

I passed by them on the way to my car, and the awe and wonder in his little eyes as he watched this 20 ton marvel of engineering scoop through hard packed dirt like it was ice cream brought a little warmth to my heart on this cold day.

To me, it’s a question about integrity. BTCPay Server was created in response to a specific breach of user trust by the company BitPay. This was even the subject of a quasi-documentary two years ago. So now the people supposedly in charge of it are being irresponsible about communicating important security updates, not just on Nostr, but in general. I refuse to just give them a pass and shrug, ”It’s just FOSS, what can we do?” That’s irresponsible.
