Always happy to see people joining Nostr. I live in Norway and used to travel a lot to the Netherlands, mainly Rotterdam area (Spijkenisse, Hellevoetsluis), but now I travel way less.
VCR here, let me fix this 😂
Just read about zeehondencentrum.nl, a seal hospital, Europe's largest one. I was sure this was a joke, but it's serious. How much money do you need to have before you consider BUILDING A FUCKING SEAL HOSPITAL? Like, what the fuck? Europeans deserve 99.99% in income tax 😂😂😂
Largest in Europe my ass, if you have a table you're the largest seal hospital in the galaxy, BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE 😂😂😂
#seal #hospital
Love this, mate!
As of me, I thought #nostr was just an app to wish people #GM!

Infelizmente fui hackeado, o hacker mandou tudo pra monero e sumiu!
I got hacked, everything was sent to monero and then disappeared.
A link can say more about you than the page it opens.
A link to a rain jacket in a shop's newsletter often carries extra parts after the address: which newsletter you came from, which campaign, and sometimes an ID that is unique to your click. Share that link with a friend and those parts travel with it.
QR codes add a second problem. You cannot read one before you scan it, and a sticker over the real code looks just the same.
So we built CheckLink, the new app in
@nprofile…pf5c Labs.
Paste a link, share one into it from any app, or scan a QR code, and it shows what the link holds before anything is opened. The parts that tell Google, Meta, Amazon and others about your click are marked in red, each with who learns it and what it tells. Untick anything you want to keep, then copy or share the clean link.
For QR codes it says in plain words what the code holds. Payment requests are shown, never paid. When it finds nothing to point out, it says so, and reminds you that this does not prove a site is genuine.
One permission, the camera, only when you press Scan. No internet permission at all.
Free, no account, open source. Version 0.0.1, our first and early release.
Get it on Android through @nprofile…gsu4

The ugly ones will have to forgive me, but beauty is essential.
Why is it always a fat ugly purple hair incel?
I'm testing my app and found that your picture contain information that can trace it to you.
Before sharing pictures, run them by MetadataScrubber, available at @Zapstore and web.

I have this one account and about 5 bots, but they only DM me, they don't publish public notes. It's quite annoying having to deal with bots replying my notes, I simply block them.

People are generally good, they can't understand this type of evil.

From what I read, the USA haven't had public executions since WW2
Nice work!
Uptime is a bit weird :)

True, but not everybody uses nostr :)
Most Nostr users probably know how to remove metadata from their files.
The idea of the app is to make it easier for the average person to reduce the amount of information shared.
A photo can say more than it shows, starting with where you stood when you took it.
Most phone cameras write the date and time to the second and the phone model into every photo, and if you ever let the camera use your location, the GPS position too. Many dedicated cameras add their serial number, and cameras and editing software can add your name.
Some platforms remove this when you upload. A photo sent as an email attachment, as a file in a chat or through a shared folder link usually keeps all of it.
So we built MetadataScrubber, the newest app in Stormberry Labs. It lists what a photo carries besides the picture, ticks the items to remove before sharing publicly, removes only what you choose, normally without re-saving the picture, and reads the new file back so you can see what is left.
It runs entirely on your own device: load it, switch off your network, and it keeps working. The page's own security policy also stops it from uploading anything. JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. Free, no account, open source.
Stormberry Labs is where we build a functioning prototype to start an idea. If you have one sitting at that stage, we are glad to talk.
Try it on a photo you were about to share:
