Maby true. But BRICS is still a very loose cluster of countries that are not easily aligned in their intrests.
I am not sure if the G7 is currently much stronger aligned. Maby the world is in general more shattered. Less reliance and less trust in todays world than in the beginning of the century I would say.

I’ve seen this in open source and Bitcoin communities, where sharing tools and knowledge helps others build things that would be difficult alone. Value grows when people contribute instead of competing to keep everything to themselves.
