We live at 8000 feet in the Wasatch and usually burn 6-7 cords of wood every winter. Last year we bought a Q rather than firewood. Only used 2 cords and ran the Q all winter in super mode. The wife actually enjoyed the light fan noise and we ended up running it November -April and a little in May on colder mornings. We're going to grab one more for this winter. It was so nice to not have to get up and start a fire. We didn't really pay attention to power usage because we have to pay for heat one way or another. I used the f2pool mining that came with it. Easy to setup. We mined 770k sats, burned less wood and had a happy wife and kids. Zero downside. A second one will make it downright nice, IMO. 2026-08-21T16:59:33Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsp6u6rg4xydlz9j9stlczqvms3rd5hgvtpfa54pqn6eftgrmmr8tqpy9mhxue69uhkummnw3ex2mrp0yh82mnrdpskjmn9v35x7mt99e3k7mgzyqgapdn8g7y8h2dx6d9j86e39pehfdzmrgd3v84v2n93s0znuq80w4vel9c In reply to nevent1q…0jmu
_________________________

After researching I decided an Avalon Q was the better choice for me.

Happy. 2026-08-21T16:20:27Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsyq72zeu50q3675gwa3azjq3fuqdqzel5j75xnuzwg74hmt7d8m5gpy9mhxue69uhkummnw3ex2mrp0yh82mnrdpskjmn9v35x7mt99e3k7mgzyqgapdn8g7y8h2dx6d9j86e39pehfdzmrgd3v84v2n93s0znuq80wycr22g In reply to nevent1q…tsf7
_________________________

Shipping is $15, though there might be a threshold for free.
