When the networks of power become the fuel of their own destruction.
They built empires upon empires. Networks upon networks. Systems designed to extract, dominate, accumulate and perpetuate themselves.
They called it civilization.

It is the metaphor for a more fundamental reckoning:
NO STRUCTURE IS ENTITLED TO EXIST FOREVER.
When the cost of preserving an institution exceeds its capacity to sustain itself, the architecture begins to fail.
The monuments remain.
The authority evaporates.
The networks that once commanded civilizations become stranded relics, consuming their final reserves merely to maintain the appearance of control.
And Shiva dances.
Not upon the innocent.
Upon the illusion of permanence.
Thermodynamics does not identify the guilty. That requires evidence, judgment and accountability.
But neither wealth nor power can repeal physical limits.
THE COSMIC SHAIVIC REDUCTION:
Power without renewal becomes overhead.
Overhead without purpose becomes waste.
Waste without correction becomes collapse.
Collapse without transformation becomes ash.
And from the ash, the possibility of a new order.

I checked into that as well. R9700 is capped to 1/3 of memory bandwidth in comparison and I can get 2 used 7900 XTXs for less of one 9700, landing me at 48GB VRAM. Though I'd have to get a new board and new power unit to drive them.

I think the fact that agression took place does not negate that most interactions have been friendly. I think it is true that there have been always violence while most exchange hal at all time been friendly.
Just imagine when you meet 10 people tomorrow. It would be almost impossible to handle your life, if you decide to be agressive to more than half of those.
living beings tend to reduce energy expenditure. And agression is mostly not the most energy efficient way to succeed in life.
I think it is as simple. Count every interaction of a day. And then count how many of those you were making in a friendly manner and how many in a agressive manner.
I would bet that even most soldiers in active battle have still far more friendly interactions than interactions, where they act as active agressors.
When a sldier gets up, he probably was sletping close to many friendly troops. Probably he gets some breakfast from a friendly chef. He probably gets driven in a bus with a friendly driver to the front.
Then there he might has an exchange of fire before getting back to the base camp where he is surrounded by friendly soldiers.

Who knew?
Who had the authority?
Who chose not to act?
Who benefited?
No more hiding systemic failure behind ceremonies and statistical abstractions.
No more confusing the ability to acquire power with the competence to exercise it.
If you were too incompetent to protect human life, you had no business holding that responsibility.
If you knowingly sacrificed preventable lives to preserve your position, the question is no longer competence. It is accountability.
The dead cannot testify.
Their mortality records can.
The dead do not demand another monument.

The greatest indictment of human leadership is not how many people it has killed in war.
It is how many people died in peace, from causes humanity already knew how to prevent.
Millions. Year after year.
Children who needed clean water. Mothers who needed medical care. Human beings who needed food, sanitation, vaccines, or safer roads.
We split the atom. We mapped the genome. We built artificial intelligence.
And somehow, delivering survival remains negotiable.
This is not a failure of human intelligence. It is a failure of what our institutions select for.
We have built leadership systems extraordinarily capable of preserving authority, accumulating wealth, manufacturing prestige, and defending power.
Yet millions still die from preventable causes.
And the dead receive statistics. Condolences. Ceremonies. Another annual report.
History celebrates the conqueror, the billionaire, the emperor, the statesman.
But history rarely asks the only question that ultimately matters:
How many people are alive because you led?
Humanity has already demonstrated that preventable mortality can be dramatically reduced. Every life saved proves the knowledge works. Every remaining avoidable death demands an explanation.
The dead do not demand monuments.
They demand accountability.
Evolution gave humanity the intelligence to preserve life. Our institutions have not consistently rewarded leaders for doing so.

When you shut down a modern #iPhone, the #Power Management Unit (PMU) cuts voltage to the main A-series processor, the OLED display, and the camera array. It leaves a separate Low Power Mode (LPM) rail live on the motherboard.
Sitting on that energized rail are three wireless chips: the #Bluetooth controller, the #NXP NFC controller, and the Apple #U1 #Ultra-Wideband chip.
Apple built this hardware partition to run "Findable After Power Off," Express Transit passes, and Digital Car Keys when your battery dies. Even with #iOS completely unloaded from RAM, those three chips stay powered for up to 24 hours on a manual shutdown (and up to 5 hours on automatic battery reserve).
Right before # https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/6b675f632970f0817695a959144ba4657c3504f1d4589b370df0af2bfd266691.mp4 iOS powers down, it pre-computes 96 rolling NIST P-224 public keys (one for every 15-minute window over the next 24 hours) and sends them to the Bluetooth chip using Host Controller Interface (HCI) commands.
The final HCI command severs communication with the main processor and starts a standalone thread inside the Bluetooth silicon. While the main SoC sits unpowered, the Bluetooth chip wakes up every 2 seconds to broadcast the current P-224 public key over Bluetooth Low Energy. Any passing iPhone or MacBook that hears that broadcast encrypts its own GPS coordinates with your broadcasted public key and relays the packet to Apple servers.
In 2022, researchers at the #SEEMOO lab at TU Darmstadt audited this low-power hardware chain ("Evil Never Sleeps") and found a major gap between the three wireless chips.
While the NFC chip runs encrypted and signed firmware and the U1 Ultra-Wideband chip checks cryptographic signatures at boot, the Broadcom Bluetooth chip has neither encryption nor signature verification on its firmware updates.
Broadcom bakes its base Bluetooth firmware into read-only Mask ROM at the factory. To fix bugs and load the standalone Find My feature, iOS writes raw binary patches directly into the chip internal SRAM using a mechanism called PatchRAM (Write_RAM HCI commands). The hardware never checks a cryptographic signature on those RAM patches.
If an attacker already has kernel-level code execution on iOS (through spyware or a local jailbreak exploit), they can overwrite the Bluetooth chip PatchRAM in SRAM before the user powers the phone down.
When the user drags the power-off slider, iOS halts and wipes main system RAM. Because the PMU keeps the LPM power rail alive, the modified Bluetooth firmware stays in SRAM and keeps executing on reserve battery power.
Worse, the TU Darmstadt team showed from iPhone board schematics that the Bluetooth and U1 chips are wired directly to the Secure Element inside the NFC controller via dedicated hardware buses (SE_I2C and R1_WAKE/SYNC) so car keys and transit cards work while the phone is off. Compromised Bluetooth firmware running in LPM can broadcast custom tracking beacons, listen for over-the-air wake commands, or talk directly to the Secure Element over SE_I2C while the main operating system is dead.
Apple lets you tap "Temporarily Turn Off Finding" on the shutdown screen and enter your passcode to disable LPM for that power cycle.
That toggle works if your phone is clean, because a clean iOS kernel tells the PMU to cut the LPM rail. If your phone is already compromised by kernel spyware, the malware controls the shutdown sequence. It can turn off the screen, play the shutdown animation, ignore your toggle, and tell the PMU to keep the patched Bluetooth chip powered in the background.
Once kernel malware can hide inside unverified radio SRAM, a software power-off slider means nothing. Until the battery is physically disconnected from the board or the phone goes inside an RF-shielded Faraday bag, the Bluetooth silicon can stay on the air.
