🚨 New blog post: Verified Agent Skills Managed by Nix

My agents edit the skills that live in my Nix configuration, so I want a broken skill to fail the build, not my agents. I added writeSkill, a helper that packages skills the way the nixpkgs writers do, with two checks at build time: skills-ref validate against the spec, ste-lint over the prose.

https://britter.dev/blog/2026/10/28/verified-agent-skills-nix/

#nix #nixos #ai #skills

I know a lot of the things only apply to Google Android, such as developer verification. But I wonder if at some point the high ups decide it's not worth continuing to support AOSP. And what that would mean for Graphene.

To bad that I don't seem to have a file browser and I can't install one.

Very disappointing first use experience. I wanted a phone that feels more like Linux. Instead I get the same app store BS again that drove me away from Apple and to some extend GrapheneOS.

Converting my dad’s old windows box into a backup server that I can put into my mom‘s basement as an off site backup. Its like 15 years old but only has to run sshd for Restic backup via sftp. Connection via Tailscale. Install is fully automated with NixOS. Secrets managed with sops.

Thinking about writing a blog post about all of this. Let me know if there‘s anything in particular you want me to cover.
#NixOS #Homelab #restic #tailscale #selfhosting
