For those curious about the fate of my Jinhao retractable #fountainpen and Noodler's Heart of Darkness, it looks like the ink has gone bad. I flushed it out today and filled it with Ku-Jaku, and that's working great. So the strange performance was purely down to ancient Heart of Darkness.

#fountainpens / #fountainpen folks: I tried to ink a new Jinhao retractable with some fairly ancient Noodler's Heart of Darkness (wouldn't buy Noodler's again, but I have it and it's nearly full). The ink starts out looking dark but goes mid-grey almost immediately. Is this common with older inks, or is there maybe something in the pen I need to clean out?

Suggestions for a largeish notebook where I can paste 4x6 prints, Polaroids, etc. and not have it get too unwieldy? Must have nice paper, ideally fountain pen friendly.<br/><br/>I'm working on developing some show applications and have work prints, instant photos, etc. that I want to be able to see and think through. It's going to get thick pretty quick, and I have fully come to accept that it won't be super thin and flat 😅 but I'd like it to not get too *unwieldy*.<br/><br/>#believeinfilm #fountainpens
