Yes. Had two primary aged children. Two working parents. We car pooled or walked. Luckily we both worked in the suburb where we lived. Husband had a km more than me to walk. Going home was uphill all the way. Everyone just adjusted their lives. Car pooling worked well for most people. We just got on with it. I personally didn’t know anyone who cheated the system.

I developed phobias and if a single incident gave me a scare I Would refuse to do that activity ever again. School was a nightmare I threw up at the bus stop every morning for a year. Mum persisted and eventually I went to school and stayed there. There are some things I still won’t do even now. I think there is hope for Flip. He’s still very young.

My severely disabled sister who has immuno suppressant infusions monthly has to go for a scan a few days ago. Now she has come down with a virus and she’s really ill. We suspect she caught it at the hospital. There is no protection for our vulnerable any more. Hospitals are unsafe.

Non judgemental gifts of food, kids needs, mental health support to one very vulnerable resident, community clean ups of the streams and the beaches and parks. Free clothing on racks at library. Patrons bring in really good clothing it’s all free just help yourself. Seedling table at the library. So many things happening.

I don’t think we can ever advertise 100% pure ever again. I don’t think we can say we are a great place to live. We have a Society full of Conspiracy theorists and people who believe in individualism and not the greater good. We have overt racists. They are fearless under this Coalition Government.
