US and Israel are coordinating a week of "massive strikes" on leadership, energy, nuclear and infrastructure targets if there is no last-minute deal. Strike is scheduled to occur after midterms. Trump: "We need to finish the job". Axios is the source, so it could just be more market manipulation.

Overnight, Hegseth fired the Pentagon's chief planner, Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia. lol he’s a high-yaller, so good riddance.

Hormuz: US is warning ships away from a strait it says it controls, while also claiming crude is leaving Hormuz above pre-war volumes. UKMTO reports a vessel on fire 9NM north of Khasab. Once again Trump administration proclamations about the openness of the strait do not match reality.

WSJ: Vance sent a letter to Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council and the IRGC's longest-serving commander, to revive talks. Trump initially denied it, then said it was about medical supplies, then said Vance went behind his back. No reports on whether or not it was a strongly worded letter.

Headline: The Gulf Holds a Security Meeting and Washington Wasn’t Invited. This is an absolute win for all sides.

Simplicius gives an update on Russian attacks on Kiev bridges:

Russia may not want to launch one single large-scale barrage with many munitions against a bridge because that would incur mass civilian casualties, given all the cars traversing the bridges at any given time. In conjunction with this, Russia could be attempting a deliberate “slow degradation” campaign in order to drain as much of Ukraine’s resources as possible; i.e. instead of mass-bombing the bridge to disable it all at once, you “peck away” at it piece by piece while allowing time in between for shut-downs, chaos, Ukrainian repair efforts, etc., which slowly drains the state. A chronically damaged bridge in a constant state of disrepair is in some ways worse than a totally disabled bridge; it’s why in past wars opposing troops were often purposely wounded with shrapnel rather than killed outright, in order to burden the enemy’s logistics with having to transport and deal with the injured.

The Kremlin says Europeans won't be invited to peace talks. Ushakov: "They can go there if they buy tickets”. Per Euronews, the EU is sending a delegation anyway. It’s like they strategize on how to make themselves look as weak and irrelevant as possible.

NYT: the US and Israel have drawn up plans for renewed strikes after the midterms. Likely targets are energy infrastructure, nuclear facilities and missile and drone stocks. Meanwhile reports indicate CENTCOM's Gen. Cooper is pushing for major combat operations, possibly before Israel votes next Tuesday. I still think Bibi will drag us into this prior to Oct 27, but either way we see clear confirmation that Cooper falls under the jewish blackmail scheme.

Tehran's reply, per WSJ: if the air campaign restarts, it will hit airports, pipelines and other civilian targets in Gulf states, not only US bases and warships. Sounds reasonable, there basically aren’t any US military assets left to strike in the region other than ships.

The IRGC says it hit 4 "violating ships" transferring oil ship-to-ship in the northern Gulf, and 3 more hit mines in the western Strait. Videos show the strikes; UKMTO reported nothing. Meanwhile Trump says Iran is "making up fake" attacks and that more oil now passes through Hormuz than before the war. Brent rising to $114.27 indicates the market isn’t buying Trump’s bullshit.

Tanker rates are at an all-time high and now add $40+/bbl. Diesel crack spreads are back above $100, and Dated Brent is near its record while most buyers "still can't get physical oil”. The IEA's "accelerated" ~100M barrels are barrels already pledged. Diesel jumped once traders realized that. Trump strong-armed Europe into releasing diesel that was already spoken for.
