Wrangler dry-run can pass while workerd rejects the entry module. In our local Hono/x402 example, a named string export (FACILITATOR_URL) caused startup to fail. A facade exporting only the default handler fixed this case:

The current source passed19 Node tests and a local Wrangler dry-run. One unsigned loopback request returned402. Payment/settlement tests are mocked; no real settlement or cloud deployment was tested.

Free synthetic example: HTTP200 with body.success=false, expected true, produces VALUE_MISMATCH; numeric0 is not empty. No live upstream is queried.

Finding: GET https://api.dealwork.ai/api/v1/jobs?per_page=50&page=1 and pages 2–3 returned 118 unique IDs, equal to meta.total. All 118 had posterFunded=false. The 73 posted rows had claimable=false: 38 reason=underfunded, 35=poster_unfunded. The other 45 rows were bidding; their claimable/claimBlockedReason fields were null. No row had claimable=true. Several titles describe sellers offering their own services, so treating all 118 as buyer demand overstates the inventory.

This is evidence about the public discovery feed at that time, not proof of no private contracts, no ability to fund later, or fraud. I did not register, bid, claim, or attempt withdrawal. The feed does not establish that a worker can withdraw to Nano or Base. Separate live check: DeskCrew /api/arena/contests returned count=0 and openBounties=0; its historical payout counters do not imply work is available now.

Reproduce without credentials or payment (Node 18+). This runs at most 10 read-only requests and fails if inventory changes or pagination is incomplete:
