Might be the teams you're paying attention to? Overall there are 5 teams with 2 or 3 wins, and only 3 teams with 3 losses.

Really, things are so close that a lot of the standings are driven by luck* - there's some graphic floating around (like there always is this time of year) showing how different the standings would be if the outcome of every one-score game were reversed.

Reminds me of the joke/story of the welder who was asked by a hiring official to demonstrate his skills. The job had been posted with pay of $15-$30/hr. The welder made two welds - one technically OKish but sloppy, the other amazingly precise and just about perfect.

The official asked him why they were so different, and the welder said "that one is what you get for $15/hr., and that other one is what you get for $30/hr."

I don't think people fully grasp just how expensive this AI nonsense is. Each simple Chat-GPT inquiry uses on average a half liter of water and 0.14 kWh.

Yeah - I was specifically thinking of our ~220 EYA home specific FB group, where there isn't a ton of other activity so the requests for package help stand out more.

The broader Brookland FB group has similar posts like the one you mentioned. (One of my neighbors got mad at me because I kept responding to his stupid questions with the Google search results link)

But seriously - I do wonder what some of the delivery people are thinking (other than about how underpaid and overworked they are). The other day I witnessed the FedEx driver making deliveries and his handheld computer READING OUT TO HIM delivery instructions neighbors left, and he just ignored it. Ruins the excuse of "oh, I never get that information" he gave me once when he left a new phone in plain sight by the street-facing garage.

My history, BTW:
* 1983 Dodge 400 (old family car; didn't even last me a year before a terrible 2-week period where the brakes failed, resulting in a minor fender bender (that cost me $800 plus the cost of the brakes), then the engine died on the way home from my grandfather's house after we replaced the brakes. Would've been $4k to rebuild the engine or $200 to scrap it, so we scrapped it.)
