We hate it for them because it sucks and we all know that it’s bullshit academic hazing. The bar exam did not establish my competence in practicing law. It established my ability to take the bar exam. The MBE particularly had questions that were written to trip people up, not test their knowledge, with one or two words in lengthy passages that could change the answer. In fact, they often reused questions with those changes. <br/><br/>And if I had had to work while studying, I don’t have confidence I would have passed.
