I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously and was just a fun movie. Strangely, it's pretty homoerotic. There was a lot of that, which was odd. Definitely softens the blow of Suda51 and James Gunn not being involved.

It's funny that reassurance that the same fan service heavy tone of the original is carrying to the sequel needed to be said but hey it's the sign of the times.

Juliet's new voice is going to take some getting used to but every looks pretty promising so far. Even the plot with a conspiracy with a b movie director sounds like it hits all my interest!

Hearing that they want to get new fans to appreciate the charms of Juliet, I feel like they changed Juliet's design to better match PeachMilky for cross promotion. I’d like to share PsstPsst, a messaging app I’ve been working on over the past three months through vibe coding.

https://psstpsst.chat

It’s intended for staying in touch with friends and family, and supports iOS, Android, macOS, Linux, and Windows. Releases are currently available for all platforms except iOS.

I haven’t had a chance to test the Linux and Windows builds myself yet. If you try either and run into any problems, I’d really appreciate hearing about them.

PsstPsst is built on NIP-17 with NIP-4e, which separates encryption keys from identity keys. This means it isn’t compatible with most existing Nostr clients.

You don’t need to think of it as a Nostr DM app, though. I’ve tried to keep Nostr terminology out of the app and make it approachable on its own. My hope is that people can generate a fresh key and use it with their friends and family.

Why NIP-4e?

With a separate encryption key, the app doesn’t need to repeatedly request encryption and decryption operations from your identity key. This makes it possible to use the app with a bunker remote signer.

Encryption keys can be rotated periodically, so a leaked key won’t expose your entire message history.

A few things I’d like to add over time:

- Small group chats, likely limited to 10 people or fewer. NIP-17 isn’t well suited to large groups, and small circles feel like a good fit for the app’s focus.
- Voice and video calls.
- A built-in browser for napps.
- Communication without an internet connection, using FIPS.

There’s still plenty to improve, but I hope some of you might find it useful. If you feel like giving it a try, I’d be grateful for any feedback or bug reports. Thanks for taking a look!

2026-09-13T21:39:00Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsyx2rupdzth89uxswpl0qsqs00lmcmpk68puvufy8r6tryqmt76sczyp6dmt9nx0aaucvtlddaxq5v4ezgr9pyln885707cv0l7ce7nuajv2lmz44 I enjoyed the second chapter of Graykeith: Translator Daemonica more than the first. The big midseason twist will be that her twin actually has Raava and knows what Korra did. This would allow for a Dark Avatar and better representation of Order vs. Chaos as just that, and not generic Good vs. Evil. 2026-07-25T00:06:23Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsqqqxazch65zgdpylk69rez0r3dd9vyyuswfjw53sjpfmlu4sarzqzyp6dmt9nx0aaucvtlddaxq5v4ezgr9pyln885707cv0l7ce7nuajvgaf57u I do feel like with every new thing Avatar Studio releases that I'm growing out of the IP. It's going to be hard to recapture that lightning in the bottle that created The Legend of Aang and I don't think getting fans to helm projects is going to smart decision in the long run.

While gorgeously animated I didn't really love the Aang movie. I am grateful for the Korra slander in the trailer though. (*´ω｀*)

Don't really have to mention the live action show. One exception is the Fighting game. The gameplay is similar to Dragon Ball Legends but it adds a lot more depth to the combat system. I like that I can get myself out of being combo'd with countering/clashing. The Original Character for this game is pretty robust since I can change his fighting style to fit my personal preference. This was the perfect year for a movie like this to be released. Having experienced all the Pursuit drops and content surrounding them definitely made the film hit harder for me. Some plot points dragged it down for me, like the religious aspects of the story. I always find stuff like that negative when I just want it to be about the science. Everyone sounds pretty good. Obviously, there are some outliers, like the kids' voices. Whether you like Setsuna's voice or not depends on how much you enjoy kuudere voices in English. To me, it sounds fitting. However, I can see how the monotone cadence could make it sound like she's bored.
#animestr #gamestr

quoting
nevent1q…ljyp
I'm shocked School Days is getting an English dub!
