today's slightly odd #cycling #RoadsideFind -- 16 rolls of 35mm film, 13 of them in their little pop-top containers, dumped in a pile beside the main Yarra Trail. Now what?

SSS reports go to council, what then happens is highly variable. Parking generally results in a visit three days later and a "unable to locate the reported vehicle"

the lads in question yelled out that they'd already been prevented getting on two. Also happened to me when we (family/three bikes) were bike touring - finished in Ballarat, but haha "vline surprise" - unannounced rail replacement buses. Luckily we only had to spend three or four hours until trains resumed

At the moment, one does not simply "get on" a VLine train to Geelong with a bicycle to go cycling on the Bellarine. At the best of times it can be a coin toss due to the number of delivery riders from the outer burbs who wheel their large e-bikes into bike storage, corridor, and doorways. Fingers crossed, I've been able to squeeze on when I needed to -- unlike the three teens at Lara with BMX bikes who were told in no uncertain terms by conductor, "No room, can't get on, next train"

Why certainly, your large off-leash golden labrador barging into our front garden and starting to dig up the place is all our fault for not having a closed gate and nothing to do with the leash hanging slack in your hand as it bolts back and forth across the road

And I do apologize, how dare I point out to you that the dog was meant to be on a lead in public
