Helsinki has opened a remarkable new bridge for trams, cycling and walking!

The new Kruunuvuorensilta cuts the cycling distance to the city centre in half, while cars still need to take the long route.

I cycled across the bridge just 3 weeks after the opening.

This is -obviously- not how the new bicycle parking facility in ‘s-Hertogenbosch was supposed to be used. Two months after it was opened people “park” bikes randomly on the ground floor and attached to railings, while the upper floor has more than enough available spaces in the racks.

A bike ride on the high-quality cycling route Ede – Wageningen

Currently, construction is underway on the high-quality cycling route from the centre of Ede to the centre of Wageningen. The route is being developed by the municipalities of Ede and Wageningen in collaboration with the Province of Gelderland and Wageningen University (WUR; Wageningen University & Research). The total length of the route will be 8.4 km.
