“You could’ve done much more.”
“Well I didn’t, and that’s why I’m alive and content…”
“You’re saying you’re happier than me, she said.”
“I’m saying you don’t seem content.”
“So contentment is all? That’s it? What the fuck is contentment? The only goal is contentment?”
“There are many faiths that say so.”
“Which ones?”
“I can’t remember. It sounded good,” he said, and she laughed.

Thanks. I know your words are from the heart. I never anticipated this time felling as hard as it does. Your words are enough, they show you care and that’s so appreciated. Actually just got off FaceTime, it’s definitely great to have that, makes him feel a little closer.

Crickets & not much else tonight. Taking in the last weekend moments. Life is a lot sometimes. The good, the not so good and all the in betweens. The little moments that make up the big picture, when separated, can be heartbreakingly amazing. I miss the days my boys were little and running around everywhere. Those days were exhausting, but now they off running in their own directions. All good things, but to move forward, something is always left behind. I’m thankful for so much, truly I am, but getting older makes me miss things all the more.

Just left my oldest at the airport, he’s stationed in Galveston, TX. It doesn’t get easier.

His friends left him a fun farewell last night, that I was the first to see on my way out to work this morning . It was exactly what I needed, because I was sad, and these antics brought a needed smile to my face 😊 🧻
