If you’re trying to stack sats, it makes sense to spend the fiat. In which case, you might reasonably take out loans against a portion of your stack and short the fiat. Also, paying in fiat for Cashback in sats, such as with Fold. <br/><br/>If you want to spend from your Bitcoin directly, that’s harder but not impossible. It’s easy actually but “hard” if you factor in taxes and KYC. It’s best if someone you buy from simply accepts sats. As for mass refusal to vote, I think we’re already at a point where a lot of people don’t vote and it doesn’t seem to significantly diminish the apparent legitimacy of the system. Also, any approach that requires “enough people to…” is doomed to failure. I have my sights set on achieving a personal escape. I want to be able to enforce my sovereignty against any aggressor. I think that’s more doable than saving the country. And perhaps if enough people did like I do, the country wcould indeed be saved. But I don’t need that to happen in order to be free or at least freer than the average American.

It can reflect consent, sure, but it can also be an act of self defense in a system with severely limited options.
