I raised a Dispute with AfterPay. They stated that the seller had proved they provided the service. I called the seller. The seller had done nothing, they could see they recieved an email. After pay had lied, manufactured a story, misrepresented the seller.

Meanwhile on ebay, I contacted a seller to say that the goods hadn't been recieved. Ebay closed the dispute and said the seller had. With 0 evidense.

Meanwhile I got banned from Ebay. I tried to contact support. Support ignored all information, lied and said I proved partial information. Then told me that I need to report my account was hacked. Which it isn't, and is unrelated. The issue is my mobile verification number changed. Now I cannot even talk to an agent. Worse, the alternative is a callback. I type in my number and it refuses to submit the call back to my current number.

I guess the next stage is to talk to an ombudsman. Oh wait, the ombudsmans website uses Cloudflare. So I cannot.

So today we installed Reaper. And it's recommended to use Jack via pipewire. Except the install does nothing to configure jack and also jack runs via pipewire, but having pipewire doesn't mean you have jack. And none of this is explained. Also, reaper doesn't have an install guide for Linux. It's for Mac and Windows only.

so after installing jack. I had to give it execute perms. Yes... I litearlly had to tel la program that was installed it has permission to execute. WTF. Then I could run reaper via terminal using pw-jack /path/to/reaper. Which is kinda annoying. So I set out to make it run jack when you double click the executable.

Setting up a dekstop entry didn't resolve this. Because apparently Ubuntu denies the running of the programs attempt at starting jack. Because of where it was located on the drive. YUUUUUP Ubuntu was preventing me from Reaper from accessing the audio interface because of it's file location on the drive.... because the default file mount has noexecs stated. Which becomes silly the more you think about it. An app image can be launched anywhere. But, the install location being in home is a problem. But, snaps ignore install paths forced by the OS... Steam does even jankier install magic... Why even have noexecs? I admit I know nothing about no execs, so I'm probably missing something logical to security that would explain why. on face value this all seems retarded.

So, uninstalled and reinstalled in root. Still can't launch. Turns out even when you install jack, there's no config update to pipewire. So, pipewire doesn't know jacks location, when Reaper tries to start it up. Which resulted in manually wiring libjack to point at pipewire when launching the application.

It works.

So the real issue were

1. didn't have jack installed
2. pipewire doesn't configure jack when it installs. Had to manualls point jack to pipewire. So when Reaper launches it can access jack.
3.Reaper has to be installed in root otherwise noexec stops the launching of jack.

Amazingly stupid. No documentation on Reaper. I would have to trawl through through pipewires documentation to resolve the config issue. Oh and pipewire just casually makes references to quantum, without stating wtf a qunatum in pipewire is... who even knows? Web search naturally didntt help.

The leve of dissonance between implementing the tech, the so called guides, and the basic install issues existing and neither pipewire of reaper try to rectify this is insane.

I probably need to get a mic and a stand later for voice, but I'm not overly worred because my voice sucks ass and it won't make anything better. Made a strawberry, blueberrie, black berry and rasperry syrup. Mixed with lime. Used 1.5cups of sugar. Flash fried half a jar of ginger. Added vanilla essense and a bit of cinnamon.

Blended it with the other weeks ginger and cinnamon blend. 2/3 berry syrup with 1/3 ginger syrup.

It's less sweet than the previous bertry blend, makes it easier to make cocktails with.

So dry gin 1/6, 1/6 blended syrups, 250ml red bull, top with soda water. Makes for a more nuanced Red Red Bull. It could be a little sweeter, but it's nice to let the spices have more room to texture the flavour. Also, I don't need a ton of soda water to open the flavours and risk watering down the drink.

Executable files when opened in a text editor will show hex values. Hex values correspond to functions, vars, and their values. You can corespond a low level control structure back into it's source code state. It's long, tedious, and requires much better abstract thinking than when a coder thinks about high level programming. This becomes more true, the more sophisisticated the program is.

Programming languages intent is to make all the machine code readable to a human, and codify something that's easier for humans to read and code via abstraction a simplication of what the code transforms to in hex. Which is itself still an abstraction above the machine code it self, where it's then converted to 0's and 1's.

High level programmers tend to deal in the world of Java, Python. Low level is working in the world of assembly.

For example: (High level programmer is working here)C source → compiler → (low level programmer is working here)assembly → assembler → machine code (bytes)

The assembly operations are then converted to the machine code as binary 0, and 1's. So you can think of it as one layer of abstraction from machine code. Where as a higher level coder is working on an abstraction of assembly code.

So the process of determining hex into assembly code gives you a determined control process. Which gets harder to pick a part as it becomes more about your awareness of where and when control structures begin and end. And then determining what it means within the running program. A lot of guess work, creative thinking, and overtime past experience helps determine what it is you're looking at. hence why there's more trial and error that far exceeds what a programmer generally needs to know in order to do their jobs well.

I solved the install issue with a cracked game. It wasn't Lutris, bottles, that was making the issue. It was a misunderstanding on how snaps arranges it's own installation path vs where it installs things.

I have a steam snap. Snap is in root. But steam stores installed games in home/snap/Steam.../../../

Then under this folder structure, steam creates prefix for windows file directory. I had no idea this exists.

So I created afolder called Games under the C://

I hadn't noticed that I called my use 'c'

So the user c had a folder called Games.

./home/c/Games

And I was wondering why the fuck it wasn't installing here.

Sidenote: finding the install path was a nightmare untill I realised the seperation between snap steam, and snap steam game directory where two different things.

In short, I got a game cracked and running. I reckon I can go find out of First Light is a game I would want to play and buy. WOOH.

RDR2 online is broken. You need gold for roles. Roles cost 15 gold. The path to gold is story missions. But, you need other plays to join. No one is playing these missions. Mission pays out a total of 10 gold bars when you complete them all...

So, I'm stuck playing low gold paying missions at max 0.34 gold, that's locked behind 23 minute cool down timers. And, daily tasks that pay .10 gold each.

There is 1 gold treasure maps to collect every 5 levels. At this rate I will get a role within 3 weeks. Something that should have been achievable in less than a day. >_> and if you pick the wrong role, you're stuck in the same slow gold cycle. So, the first role has to be bounty hunter. Which is still minimal gold. But, without the cool downs when travelling between locations to new bounties. I suspect there will be a max bounty collection limit daily. Which means still stuck on slow collection, maybe doubly faster. I'll have to evaluate later.

In short, a barbaric system, made more insane by low player pool. Which means minimal play time, because it kills any enjoyment if you stick around longer.
An an upnote, I was able to buy a fishing rod. So, I have a new activity to do in game. I'm also wondering if I save if I can get the hunting wagon earlier to increase profits. At least this will boost cash flow if possible.

Amazing, I get hit with two major issues in one day.

1st one. Valve updates the game and breaks vulkan translatation of shaders so the game runs at 9fps.

2nd, Ubuntu update breaks nvidia drivers when it updates the system, so other games won't run at all. As they don't rebuild some library when they update the kernel. So games were just failing to launch.

Fixing the ubuntu updates breaking nvidia didn't fix the game running at 8fps, but now other games are working fine.

Alright, this time we've got a longer steep time, and larger amounts of giner. I found a peppermint, spearmint herbal tea blend that I've steeped into the simple syrup.

1 Cup of water
1Cup of lime
150g of mashed up giner
2 bags of peppermint/spearmint
2 cups of sugar.

It's a bit low on the mint side because peppermint is so dominating and I don't know how strong the blends are.

Half a bottle of London Dry gin added.
We'll mix it up with lemon tea. So it's very similar to last recipe but it should be punchier on all fronts. And now we have mint in it.

I also figured I make a red bull mixed with this. Cause, why not?

So, I flash fried some ginger. Added in 1 cup of water, thenm 1 ...

Well, after about 3-4 weeks of horny time. It's officially been banned. Not in SHF law, but by social contract. The classification of horny time, is the deliberate act or shifting blame. But, I get the desire to do that for a band purporting to be Christian. Although... I do wonder, I've heard a lot of less than nice things about the realities of the Christian music behind the scenes over the years. Lot of exploitation of religion for financial gain.
