Eurogamer reviewer Brendan Caldwell found signs of "Ukrainian nationalism" in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. He based his conclusions on details of the game's design, including a matchbox and a poppy field: https://www.eurogamer.net/stalker-2-heart-of-chornobyl-review

Players responded with memes: https://itc.ua/en/news/eurogamer-journalist-accuses-s-t-a-l-k-e-r-2-of-nationalism-over-matches-and-poppies-players-respond-with-memes/
