Like the majority of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes is authored by King Solomon.

Biblically and also historically recognized as not only the richest human to have and ever to live (take that Elon 😜)…but also the wisest.

Where Provbers is the advice and wisdom of Solomon and a few others, Ecclesiastes is the application and TESTING thereof so there would be irrefutable evidence for us to learn from.

Solomon writes:

“All that my eyes desired, I did not deny them. I did not refuse myself any pleasure, for I took pleasure in all my struggles. This was my reward for all my struggles. When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. , There was nothing to be gained under the sun.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭CSB‬‬

How encouraging it is that those of us whom are Christ following business leaders can simply embody this lesson without the labor to achieve.

This certainly does not mean we should be lazy or idle!

It simply means, after we have spent our life pursing accomplishments and goals, it will be for naught.

Therefore should we not find something better, something more endearing to Christ, something Kingdom focused to pursue?

Should we not simply pursue Christ and let Him take care of the rest?

As I write that I’m reminded of Jesus’ instructions in the Gospels, “take my yoke upon you for my burden is easy and light”.

Oh how sweet it is to work, in Christ.

May your day’s efforts be not for yourself but for God alone!

Amen and amen.
2026-10-27T10:47:19Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs2s0wqenu5a3nrqrzfh27detdkf93gaaf5kh8tvgfyxtl8ktsqd5czyrswjtj594um9rnecmh7jky36w85jcmwfptq4rnp3w2nhhkkxr065txnsex Makes me think of credit card interest rates and the converse, banks not paying any interest.

“Whoever increases his wealth through excessive interest collects it for one who is kind to the poor.”
Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭8‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Oppressive gain is temporary and will not be the oppressor’s permanent possession.

Nearby Context

• Proverbs 28:27 — “The one who gives to the poor will not be in need, but one who turns his eyes away will receive many curses.”

• Proverbs 19:17 — “Kindness to the poor is a loan to the Lord, and he will give a reward to the lender.”

The contrast is clear: the man who extracts from the poor by interest ends up working for the man who gives to them.

#GM
#Wisdom
#Bible
#Money

https://bible.com/bible/1713/pro.28.8.CSB
2026-10-22T10:02:32Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqst33j0xe2dff8w8l6h8ew2a4psc792r8u0kf3zhv8kqvc5pueztgszyrswjtj594um9rnecmh7jky36w85jcmwfptq4rnp3w2nhhkkxr065xhleux #asknostr

What is a reliable (less spam/virus files) source for downloading music files these days?

I came across an old music library file that has several thousand songs I ripped from CD’s and some from records back in the day.

I’m hoping to recover those via a file sharing tool.

Eons ago Limewire and Napster were what people used.

What’s the solution these days?
