I'm at a workshop Apple is putting on and there are iPads at every desk and I really appreciate that once I told my interpreter how to turn on the braille display I'm able to keep up on this totally unfamiliar device with my colleagues even though I'm Deafblind. I have the right hand on my braille display and the left on my interpreter's hand for the tactile ASL! Woohoo 3 cheers for universal design!

In one of their emails I just read, they had a testimonial from a person who was saying that they used be my eyes to have the volunteer help them walk to their mailbox without their white cane. I'm Deafblind, I frequently travel alone, this happens to me a lot,I would have to take a pic of the bottles, get back into yesterday's clothes, harness up my sleeping service dog, take a walk to the elevator, walk to the desk, get out my phone and braille display, hope the person will have a written communication with me, show them the picture I took on my phone of the bottles and then go back upstairs. All the braille maps here are of the United States because that's where we are so that's where most of the companies focus there manufacturing of maps. Baloo has been watching this for 6 months and this morning she decided that turning somersaults might be what she wants to try next, but she is twice the size, and not as flexible, so She walked over, and kept lowering her head like a bull? It is upsetting when I see posts from people I genuinely like, and they use developmental disabilities as a slur. This kind of language has real world impacts. Every time I read a post where someone is using mentally disabled as a slur my mind instantly snaps back to those two hours I spent with my sobbing 12-year-old student who is being bullied with this type of language by a kid who learned it from his parents who use the expression to belittle people that they don't like in popular culture.

OK garden people I need some serious help. Although I killed the tomato plant and the lavender, the peppermint and the aloe vera are growing like gangbusters because apparently they thrive on benign neglect! I would like to cut and dry a lot of peppermint and I'm wondering what the best way is to Cut the leaves and stems, like where should I be cutting?
