What you are referring to Asahi GNU/Linux is simply Asahi Linux or as I recently taken to calling them, simply Asahi. You see Asahi Linux is not a complete system but just a port of the Linux kernel for Apple Silicon-powered Macs. For it to be a complete system it needs to be paired with a (non-)GNU coreutils offered by various distributions like Fedora, Debian or Alpine.<br/><br/>:) 2025-04-02T08:56:52Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsdjzl2mhuu43r3uypr8zrv8m50n9y38pgasw78773r9ygwuj2va0szypdrgd0t6c7v5tlmsgrkc67z54jz0cz8at76lcwrtw00x5n9r9d7kmgzehg In reply to <a href='/nevent1qqsve3q8e4gqxgcep445cx44qp28hhyut0r4uxr6zdtlhr99ldu62aspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43q57m0y4'>nevent1q…m0y4</a><br/>_________________________<br/><br/><span itemprop="mentions" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"><a itemprop="url" href="/nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqjd874v63430gng67kpw5m597f34dr9vr0yhkp8dkmnma8208raysyd6kk0" class="bg-lavender dark:prose:text-neutral-50 dark:text-neutral-50 dark:bg-garnet px-1"><span>nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqjd874v63430gng67kpw5m597f34dr9vr0yhkp8dkmnma8208raysyd6kk0</span> (<span class="italic">nprofile…6kk0</span>)</a></span> <span itemprop="mentions" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"><a itemprop="url" href="/nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqypghwuq42uxdtd5ac9e7e5vxkf5gte87hxdmw2eek03evs9fujxqxlkzuj" class="bg-lavender dark:prose:text-neutral-50 dark:text-neutral-50 dark:bg-garnet px-1"><span>nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqypghwuq42uxdtd5ac9e7e5vxkf5gte87hxdmw2eek03evs9fujxqxlkzuj</span> (<span class="italic">nprofile…kzuj</span>)</a></span> <span itemprop="mentions" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"><a itemprop="url" href="/nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq8fmd3mr9eafvf990fwv3zusksdhyduhsd9necv5vwza4clkvpgjsnnn2ga" class="bg-lavender dark:prose:text-neutral-50 dark:text-neutral-50 dark:bg-garnet px-1"><span>nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq8fmd3mr9eafvf990fwv3zusksdhyduhsd9necv5vwza4clkvpgjsnnn2ga</span> (<span class="italic">nprofile…n2ga</span>)</a></span> There are some things that still needs to be worked upon, but they have achieved quite a lot given that it was completely a hobbyist project funded almost completely on donations.<br/><br/>Regarding your question about good battery life, you can have a look at system76 machines. They do have quite a good reputation among GNU/Linux laptop users. 2025-04-02T08:49:23Z
