Mich störte es schon super lange, dass die ARD in ihrer Audiothek (“ARD Sounds”) zwar alles “Podcasts" nennt, aber so gut wie nichts einen Podcast Feed hat 🤬

Nun kann man einfach die URL von einer Sendung eingeben und bekommt eine Podcast Feed URL für den Podcatcher der Wahl. Die Daten dazu kommen von der offiziellen GraphQL API der ARD. Downloads kommen direkt von der ARD.

I learned the other day, that I must assume MUCH less I know about the implications the "AI” bubble has when talking to others.

A good friend of mine, well educated, PhD in Psychology, is o/c aware of psychological issues caused by "AI”. She was completely unaware of the absolute reckless and exploitative behavior of the industry. I only noticed, b/c she was complaining about how expensive new notebooks are and was VERY surprised why this is the case.

For her “AI” was just a “free service”.

If RC covers up to 20k/month, I'm even more confused where the 1.4M forecasted budget for 2025 is coming from… 🤔

The point I was trying to make is, that if AWS and/or fastly decides to (in part or fully) drop their non-cash support, the required cash budget would be much higher. For the required cash it's easy to see the dependance on Shopify, but I'm wondering how big the non-cash portion is.

"All the infrastructure, bandwidth is covered.” is what I was wondering too. My understanding is that this is also sponsored and I'm wondering if these sponsorships are included as cash equivalent in the 1.4M. Of if the presented budget sum is just the cash part of the equation.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but IMO we kind of need to take a look at the big picture. That being said, I don't want to downplay the contribution of all non-cash sponsors in any way!

In the video you linked Ruby Central forecasts a 1.4M USD budget. Do you happen to know if there is any further breakdown available? It's so difficult to find anything :(
