Understandably so. It's insanely divisive and adversarial, and often disconnected from biological reality.

One interesting thread that I can't ignore: the second wave of feminism closely coincides with the end of the gold standard.

It's not as simple as “fiat ruined feminism.” Obviously it's more complex than that... but social movements evolve within the systems they exist in!

And in a fiat system that requires two incomes to survive, feminists defined “liberation” as participation in the labour market.

That’s not the same as women’s flourishing!

Any thoughts?

I was originally going to write a few articles about this just for fun… but I discovered a rabbithole, so I think I might turn this into a whole book!
#FiatFeminism

I am not a very economically strong person from Sri Lanka. That's why I am fundraising for it because it is very expensive. My house is more than 100 years old. It is a legacy from my ancestors. So now it asks for a permanent rebuild, as some of the clay walls are melting and broken. I am worried it won't last a long time.

I know it is very expensive and hard to do one time. So I need to start it with the terrible part, which is the kitchen. My mother is cooking there, and I am so afraid of it.

The estimated cost to rebuild the kitchen is $2,240 (2,103,925 sats). Every sat you donate is a world to me at this time. Even I appreciate your repost. Thank you!

https://geyser.fund/project/rebuildingmyhomewallswithvalueforvalue?hero=nomishkadilshan
2025-11-11T03:32:00Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsqup7rywzgv4etmq0tk900ukv0xrezq3gyccml3tk5k24s5qrmu9qzyzr3c6tgq6dwpt7q7gdluxgskjyl2cv5jnz60cryxnqk3l29mz2ny504v6s Spent the day singing, dancing, and playing games with Nomishka (nprofile…235d) and his beautiful family. What would an organic, healthy form of progress look like, free from these pressures??

If you know any resources (books, essays, articles, podcasts) that touch on this, I’d love your recommendations!!!

#asknostr #womenofnostr 2025-04-26T12:06:38Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs9p0p6mesp92c7gdmxknz85h8qprlasewwmcu2sw9exxhlqpm3rjszyzr3c6tgq6dwpt7q7gdluxgskjyl2cv5jnz60cryxnqk3l29mz2ny82ack9 In reply to nevent1q…vz6z
_________________________

She's the best!
