Update on my experience with Jolla Phone 2026 after 2 months:

1. Most of the bugs I experienced are fixed. Phone OS is stable now, bluetooth works just fine, in some ways it's better than iOS.
2. Android App Support is getting better every update.
3. Many "missing" UX patterns are now provided by community patches (and Sanefish bundles them all).
4. Even Android Auto is provided by community effort, which is insane when you think about it.
5. iPhone became a "backup phone" for long trips.

Codeberg is not a GitHub competitor. They are a German association that support projects they consider worth supporting.

They have no obligation to sponsor your crypto project or vibe coded app.

It’s no longer 2010s. Free stuff era is over. Now it’s either you host shit on your own, ask friend to host shit for you, pay for service or use big tech “free” service that uses you as a product.

Forgejo exists and is free to self host. It’s not hard and federation incoming.

It makes me finally be able to focus on what matters to me. It’s still not the level of Jetbrains but it’s getting closes while taking the design from another angle.

I was never happy with VSCode (UX is so poor) and Jetbrains (UX is perfect, but it's rather slow and expensive).

VSCodium is better than VSCode, but still same UX.

Now I can finally say that with some small hiccups, Zed.dev is getting mature. It's my main IDE both at work and afterwork and with some extra configuration love it's just amazing.
