There is a whole spectrum of territorial. Do you mean it tears coyotes up when they come near the property, or do you mean that when someone knocks on the front door it jumps on your lap and rhythmically stress squeals at the ceiling?

Also, don’t ask each field to do too much. If one cel/field says plaintext “business expense of that one time I went to coffee and spent 3.78” that’s not very powerful. Formatting, and dividing cels is probably most important. So decide what you want your spreadsheet to do, and then for that example I gave you need a checkbox column that is business expense yes/no, you need description so you as a human remember what’s going on, the price, if business miles were driven to get to the coffee then a column to log those. Then it’s just a matter of linking them together, but if you don’t have the concept of your columns established at the beginning, your spreadsheet will have no materials for the formatting to work with.

Have you owned a house before? Older houses need their maintenance .. but newer houses do too.

I’ve chosen to own, but there are some people that aren’t handy and are habitually nervous and maybe it isn’t for them. I met a guy yesterday that owns a house, and he rents it out with a property manager and lives in an apartment. He said “it’s nice to call a number and say ‘please change such and such lightbulb’ and then it’s done when you get off work.”

Mother in Law bought last fall, and now her old house sits on the market. She’s thinking about withdrawing it and just renting it out. I think we are quietly in a buyers market pretty deeply right now actually. So if it’s “the” house for you then disregard this, but otherwise start lowballing. Market is stagnated, and old houses cost more than the initial sticker price.
