It allows me to start chats usually with a cheap or self hosted model to get primed, have complex discussions with smart models, and then let cheap or free models do tasks that have been layed out. I like the PG500-216 cards in terms of specs. I had a breakdown of Tflop/watt as well at some point. New cards have much higher TDPs. the only real benefits come when the cards are idling. <br/><br/>With vgpu unlock you can use consumer cards, but I found the other benefits to these cards are, I can split them for VDI, video gaming and other GPU intensive tasks at the same time. Your ollama and llama-cpp performance should be identical (it&#39;s both llama-cpp lol) <br/><br/>Don&#39;t worry running all local is not great, all of my usable machines are dual processor which means no X8 or X16 slots that are usable in any compo share a single processor (root complex) so I have absolutely abhorrent interconnect speeds, like generally around 500MB/s transfer and it limits my decode to ~50 t/s aggregate (1 model, or 5) in any combination.
