My parent's house has a tree that ofc has grown year after year. Now the problem is that the roots are growing into places they shouldn't. Most of the people we ask tell us to cut down the tree, but I wonder if there is a way to stop the roots' growth, like cutting down the treetop.

* at least lumch break stays the same

OTOH, I once recovered a partition table for free (I even wrote about it; it's part of my CV :) because it was interesting to do, I knew the person, and their PhD depended on it. I never took into account if it was their fault or not (it wasn't).

I know lots of non computering people who use AI for one reason or another, and I don't scold them, but I take every opportunity to try to teach them. Last Sunday I explained some issues about AI data centers, and the people honestly didn't know. The one that asked most questions said themselves were "a total ignorant".

I take my kids to school on a bike, round trip is 15m. Meanwhile, most people[1] take the car, and this area is a traffic knot. So to me it's fun to gently slalom between the cars stopped in a line.

Linux "classical" distros come from a position where the soft available to them are pre curated by the companies and or communities building them, so the need for such things are no so pressing.

Andorid distros face applications that mostly not curated (except for 3rd party repos like f-droid, which are also pre curated by the communities), so they have other threat models. Personally, I find them too extreme, but currently is the best option on phones.

I run my code with `pdb` and reached `logging.basicConfig()`'s line `if len(root.handlers) == 0`. It failed, so someone called one of those functions before I called `basicConfig()`. Fixed by `basicConfig()` ASAP.
