One thing I do find, though, is that calm but firm resistance through faith in Christ always seems to be the most effective at halting what I face. That 'demon cat' tried hard to get me to let it in but I resisted calmly and it seemed annoyed. A tense family situation that I swear had a moment of demonic influence held no power when I faced it with that calm resolve. I've never done any lucid dreaming (I believe there's a reasonable danger to doing so) but I have heard that acknowledging your dream inside can lead to WEIRD stuff. I've had quite a few strange dreams myself, including one where I went to this creepy, remote town I never heard of, only to look it up when I woke up and find out it's a real place ~30 minutes from me.

Animal noises that sounded like something unnatural mimicking those animals. Glowing orbs on the ground and sky that my brother and I both saw. If you've never played the classic Fallout games, especially Fallout 2, you need to. Definitely less approachable than the modern games but they're insanely deep, have unforgettable art styles, and set up everything that Bethesda built off.

Just be sure to keep your own notes/journal so you don't lose where you're at mid-playthrough. I speak from experience on that :knuckleslol:

I'd say that's only if China and the US take too long during the fab creation process. Fabs take about 2-3 years to start, and China had some new parties starting up fabs ~1.5 years ago IIRC. I definitely don't think we'll see a major decrease until probably 2029 but I do think we're likely to start seeing a slow decrease in late 2027, early 2028.

I absolutely love hearing this. As much as I do love RGG's goofiness in the Yakuza games, their writing is often overshadowed by the silliness... which is a shame, because the writing in their games is almost always great underneath the comedic and the absurd.

I'm both upset and relieved by this. Upset because I LOVE BioWare's games, they're some of my favorite after Bethesda. They were my first foray outside of Bethesda for RPGs, in fact. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, KOTOR, their D&D days, all of it was so amazing. At the same time, after how bad The Veilguard was, it became clear that the BioWare I loved has been dead for some time now.

I hope ME/DA will be sold to a studio that can do those franchises justice.

It's not officially sanctioned by Nintendo but Retro-Bit's Legacy16 SNES controller is really solid. Different colorways but with the same sort of ergonomics overall (even if they're shaped slightly different). I'm very satisfied with mine. In general, I've had almost exclusively good experiences with Retro-Bit for all my retro controllers.

Not even a stylistic thing, either: I like plenty of 60s and 70s music of various genres. I would have to agree! Last year, I did a run of Skyrim with the Survival creation enabled and that disables fast travel, adds food/sleep requirements and forces you to seek fires and wear warmer gear in the coldest areas. Doing that made the game feel so much deeper and more immersive!

Have you read Lord of the Rings yet? If not, I highly recommend reading those books before The Silmarillion, as it's a VERY dense read that relies pretty heavily on the context of knowing where all those stories are ultimately heading. My idea is that you play as some random, nameless, lowly maintenance worker working solo overtime (feels on point for Aperture) is in the lowest levels of the facility when the event happens. Since no aliens entered Aperture's facility, it'd be more about the panic of trying to escape the lockdown of the facility by GLaDOS after some apparent catastrophe, rather than actually encountering aliens. This is why it blows my mind that Sega delisted their Genesis classics collection on all storefronts. I get that they did it because of Sonic Origins, but they took away the only legal avenue (outside of paying top dollar for the mini consoles or direct cartridge purchases) of playing all those games.

It's like these corpos are allergic to money. Heck, I'd even be happy to give Nintendo some money for porting their classics to PC somehow.

One bit of advice I can give is that, if Steam gives you an automated response, keep bugging them. I've seen people get refunds way past the refund window (due to the devs doing something stupid) and they did that by repeatedly submitting tickets until they got a human response.
