Ehm ehm _is this thing on?_ 🎤

This is my first post from my new instance, `manganiello.tech`.

I created a new instance for two reasons:

1. `manganiello.eu` was supposed to be a temporary domain, and I'd rather keep my contacts (ActivityPub, Matrix, XMPP) all on the `manganiello.tech` domain.
2. The new instance runs #Yonder.

[Yonder](https://git.fabiomanganiello.com/yonder) ([Github mirror](https://github.com/blacklight/yonder)) is an #ActivityPub server I built in #Rust.

It's a Mastodon clone with all the features I like from Akkoma (Markdown posts, customizable number of status characters, custom frontends, emoji reactions, the clean Soapbox interface...), plus some features that were lacking in both and I've wanted for a while (Webmentions/IndieWeb connectors, consistent management of drafts, direct messages grouped as conversations, some actually decent and blog-like rendering of Markdown content, better Threadiverse integration [WIP]...).

Rather than trying to port either to Mastodon or Akkoma the features I liked and close all the gaps, while ending up maintaining my own forks for too long, I decided to start from a clean state and own my own ActivityPub codebase.

I will test things a bit on my new home and eventually move everything from my current handle, @fabio@manganiello.eu.

Yonder is, of course, fully FOSS and released under AGPL 3.

It's probably mature enough to be run for some personal instance experiments, but it's still under heavy development (docker-compose out-of-the-box stack and AUR packages coming soon).
