One thing I’ve been thinking about is that the primary backbone of the economies shifted over time:<br/>- barbaric kidnap and torture<br/>- brutal force and violence<br/>- coercion and manipulation <br/><br/>Over time, it was eventually exposed that the new and “improved” backbone of the economy was actually still a sick and cruel one. Which lands me at my thesis.<br/><br/>Currently, our economy is propped up by anxiety.<br/>We’re not working to “save humanity”. We’re not making bold moves to do what’s morally right. We’re not working two jobs because we love labor.<br/>We’re doing what we have to because we don’t want to fall prey to poverty.
