Sorry everybody. I've been meaning to post an update but something kept interfering. I'm well, but life has come at me very hard over the last few weeks (as it's prone to do sometimes). I had to make an emergency trip to Japan for work and while I was there two of my key employees misunderstood my boss (his english isn't great) and quit. So I'm doing the work of 3 people while trying to replace them. menwhile, our business has been requiring lots of attention. 1/2

They show this graph as a way to make the point that outside of Covid, the number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or longer is really high. What they hide is that after the crash in late 2008 this number peaked at 6.8 million which is the current count PLUS the covid peak.

These are all good points. Being relatively close to retirement, I certainly have assets that would be affected, but I have lots of hedges and land on which I could grow/raise food. We manage our expenses and make sure that we could live on half of our anticipated retirement income. If it goes beyond that, I have guns.

I did a bunch of yard work this weekend. One of the things I did was to trim some low hanging branches where the lawn meets a wooded area. I grew tired of dodging them. Later when I took a shower, I had 3 ticks embedded. I was wearing jeans and socks, so how exactly did I get a tick embedded in my ass? Anybody know how effective spraying those woods would be? They are pretty heavily infested with tics.

It has the wide doors and hallways and bars by the toilet and a wheel in shower. This might be nice for someone that needed it.
