It's a long shot but I don't suppose anyone in the UK, London more specifically has an old google pixel they'd be willing to part with? I'm running into issues with my app working perfectly fine on a galaxy with all labelled buttons, but not on google's devices. AS someone who's blind and who often uses disabled toilets for them not being stinky and having to put my hands in god knows what, the thing I find is that they're just so non-standard.
Is it going to flush and roar at me when I least expect it because it's auto-flush?
Is it a massive handle close to the floor that I have to touch and feel for?
Is it a press button with braille beneath it saying 'Flush' in an obvious place?
Is it a touchpad on the wall behind the toilet?
How does the sink work?
Is it auto-on so I just hold my hands under and hope it picks up my black skin? (Not always the case by the way.)
Is there a massive leaver to turn the tap on I'm missing?
Is it a push-button on the floor and if you don't stand in the exact same spot every third Tuesday of the month you can just forget it and go home?

Well this is the first time I think I’ve been genuinely bloody livid about an update because of iOS 26.4.

I don’t do credit cards, only debit, which is common enough in the UK, and none of the cards I input were enough to prove I’m over 18, despite the fact I purchased the damn phone, it’s tied to my Apple ID which has my birthdate, and since we don’t have ID cards and I don’t drive, my one method of verification (that being my passport) was not accepted.

As a result I cannot change some settings on the phone I spent my own money on….. What the actual hell is this utter fucking bullshit? Age verification laws strike again. Fan fucking tastic.

I have a friend from The Netherlands called Mark, who's an exceptional piano-player and often when we get together on #Jamulus, we fall into these musical stories.
It's like the thing where you'd sit in a circle as kids and someone would start with 'Once upon a time, an umbrella found itself in a sausage factory with no idea how it got there.' Then the next person would come in and add to it etc.
We do this in-music with two pianos, so someone starts a line, might leave it as a cliff-hanger and the next player has to add to it, hopefully as a sensible musical follow-up.
This can go on for ages, in this case over 11 minutes. The track ebbs and flows like water, and at about the 5 minute mark it turns into a mad thing with a lot of F's in it. Just the note, not the rude words, fear not.
Anyway, this is always a very special thing for both of us, we really enjoy playing against each other, because you don't always know where the other person is going to go. Requires quick thinking and is great for ear-training.

I also do tons of work over t'internet via Zoom, so you hear me create it as I work. I call it 'Musical cheffing' and clients love it. That way there's not 15 versions of something they don't like, we do it in real-time together, and everybody goes away happy. Made my life a lot easier. Started doing that during lockdown.

Just to show how hard it is for a no-name artist to get streams, that's a track from my first ever album released back in wait for it... 2009.

I'm not bitching, honestly I'm not. It's all good. I'm just pointing out that music isn't like modern social media, it's hard to be noticed unless you really are a very big somebody.
It took that track, which is just one of 19, 16 years to get to that point.
I have a small following, so imagine people that sink their life's work into making music, posted it when I did and barely break 10 plays? This does happen.

You're absolutely right, but I was stark-naked about to get in the shower only to find that the bottles were the same. Sometimes can tell the situation ahead of time but that instance I couldn't.
Also, and again I speak from a place of privilege but also a place of need, I'd rather use a tool to tell me something in perhaps 20 seconds, than have to get back into yesterday's clothing, find the hotel phone, hit 0, wait 15 minutes for someone to come up and deal with it when I've actually got places to be.

This is a very specific situation I admit, and like I say, my needs will be different than someone else's but at that very moment, I had a need of an AI tool and I used it. Should I feel guilty for that?

Call reception (assuming the hotel even had a phone) many don't these days, send a picture to some American friend who's awake when I'm standing in a position I'd rather not be, etc... It was never quick, easy or convenient.
Also I feel like I was in fewer places that had three identical-feeling bottles on the wall back then. I don't know why it's such a trend now, other than perhaps uniform aesthetics or something. Either way it causes some blind people issues, including myself.
I'd rather not have to use such a thing at that time, but occasionally, needs must, and if hotels continue to be anti-inclusive in this way, needs will continue to must.

I have been in that precise situation, and have trusted the LLM to get the bottles right. I later verified with a human and yes, both agreed.

You have the kneejerk reaction (which I honestly do understand) of 'All LLM = bad, evil, drinks more water than a thursty camel in the desert' but from my point of view, I emphatically think this is just wrong.

I did one album a few years ago where I just hit record and messed around with some sliders for an hour. Since I wasn't planning on making it separate songs, I didn't stop at any point, I just let whatever wanted to happen, happen.
ONly later I found what I believe are natural stopping points and gave them titles, and published it. FYI that album is called 'Ambiental' and is online likely wherever you choose to listen to music.

I didn't fade any parts of the production other than beginning of first track and end of last, so it should be played in proper order, and media player should be set to gapless.

I have absolutely zero idea if any of this is useful to you or not, so I apologise if I've wasted your time.
