It will also give us more time to serve the community through healing sessions, upcoming projects, and exploring other avenues to create permanent resources.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Our hope is that these changes will allow us to continue fighting in solidarity for an end to carceral violence and support for victims.

Repost from Anti Police Terror Project:
33 MONTHS.
That’s what Breonna Taylor’s life was worth to this system.

Yesterday, Brett Hankison was sentenced to 33 months in prison for violating Breonna’s civil rights during the no-knock raid that led to her death. He is the only officer convicted—and still, no one has been held accountable for her murder. This is not justice. It’s the system protecting itself.

We remember Breonna. We say her name. And we will never stop fighting.

TW: Police Violence

Repost from DemocracyNow (npub1f6a…gvuq)

Jacksonville, Florida's Sheriff T.K. Waters said Monday that none of the officers involved in the violent arrest and beating of 22-year-old Black motorist William Anthony McNeil Jr. will face criminal charges.

The beating occurred on February 19 after Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled McNeil over for driving without his headlights on — even though it was daytime and not raining.

"The move today to release Brett Hankinson from any accountability for the death of this innocent Black woman is the most harrowing evidence yet that the de facto license to kill us that so many of us hoped could be condemned by protests, promises, and commitments continues to thrive in this country."

On July 17, 2014, #EricGarner was killed by New York police after being placed in a banned chokehold. Garner pleaded “I can’t breathe” eleven times and tragically died hours later. His killing was a result of police accusing him of selling cigarette singles.

Today and everyday we fight for victims like Eric Garner and their families. His senseless killing reminds us of the importance to continue to fight to end carceral violence and hold police officers that harm our communities accountable.

Repost from Distill Social (npub1kpa…rut8)

Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” hands ICE a staggering $170B & adds 10K new agents—doubling its current workforce. Plus, $46B more wasted on his vanity border wall, and another $70B for detention centers to cage even more people. Cruelty on steroids.
Americans just want healthcare, not a new gestapo.
