I used the last bit of this sample ink I have. Because the ink prompt had antique in it, I used this ink also with antique in it. Always a little sad to use the last bit of ink that is no longer available. Not that I especially liked the colour, but there is always that little bit of feeling fomo 😅🙈😂 #inktober #Spookytober #Peachtober #31InksOfOctober #FountainPen #Sketchbook #Hobonichi #InkyParker51

Learning something new with the prompt is always fun. These strobilomyces strobilaceus are edible, but people don't like them because they turn black. I think I wouldn't mind eating black mushroom as long as they are tasty. 😅

This #FountainPen by James Garwood, the Cabinetmaker, needs special mention. It's made by gluing together 2400 pieces of veneer to get this pattern. I love how much attention went into these. #inktober #Spookytober #Peachtober #31InksOfOctober #Sketchbook #InkyParker51

When you water down Birmingham Pen Co. inks, quite often some neon colour comes up. It must be part of their secret juice they put in their inks. I think it works well with the prompts for today. #inktober #Spookytober #Peachtober #31InksOfOctober #FountainPen #Sketchbook #Hobonichi #InkyParker51

2026-10-23T17:31:47Z

I love the Fieldnote pocket size #notebooks, size and covers look very appealing. But hearing they are not very good for #FountainPens, I never bought one. Then I stumbled upon Lochby notebooks with the same size and Tomoe River Paper!!! I love #TRP, so bought one. Trying to carry this in my back pocket instead of my phone and whenever I think of something I want to look up in my phone immediately, I'll try to write it down and look up later. It has a small pocket inside to put a #FountainPen

Unfortunately my camera and scanner aren't the best to display the colours. On the left end of the day-light. I think dusk had just set in, so will affect the colours. The one on the right is with my scanner, but as mentioned, my scanner is not the best 😅.
This is a mix of colours bought at the DPS + inks bought through group buys in the last several months and this was handover opportunity + inks from the goody bag. I'd never buy FWP myself anymore 🙈😂

Had a wonderful two days at the Dutch Pen Show. I managed to not buy any pen! I did however buy quite a few inks and I did a paper workshop where I received a notebook with many different papers I got to try out. I also had two nib grinds. An oblique by CY from Kyuseido and Naginata by Thomas Ang. I didn't make any pictures. I had so much fun I completely forgot. 😅😂 #FountainPen

There are orange berries in our park nearby. My DH thinks they are poisonous. ObsIdentify thinks they are Salmonberries. I tasted them and they taste very tart, so that would fit the description. Big difference from 11 years ago, which was the last time I came close to the Eiffel Tower, is that you're no longer allowed to walk directly underneath it, unless you buy an expensive ticket which also gives you the right to go upstairs. There are genuine people from Gaza trying to survive. Not everybody asking for help is terrible, some are put under terrible conditions making them beg. The PMs I've gotten from people asking for money are all from Gaza. There is a possibility some of them are fake, but the genuine ones are not terrible people. They often engage after a post of them is liked or boosted. They don't always catch the individual circumstances of somebody having an ill husband.

I finished my skirt, the one I started yesterday. So now my desk is filled with both sewing and drawing materials. And of course my preferred cup of tea. It takes 450ml and fits my hand perfectly. Somehow two weeks or so ago I changed the 585th drawing into 485. So nearing 500 it suddenly dawned on me I had been there already. Turns out today is my 600th sketch in a row 🥳
Sometimes though it's a quick sketch like today 😅.

I've bought too many pretty fabrics on Vinted and now I'm making skirts I don't really need, but this particular one will be nice to wear at a concert. IRL the notes stay on the skirt 😅😂 Day 70/100 #The100DayProject #FountainPen #InkyParker51

Some white flowers have popped up in the grass strip in front of our house. My husband jokingly said it's Edwlweiss, which doesn't grow here in the wild, but they are little pretty white flowers. In my sketches I'm not bound by reality and since I had this piece of selvedge, I decided to use that as a sort of base for the colours. I love selvedges, the actual ones on fabric but also the word is pretty to write/pronounce.Day 69/100 #The100DayProject #FountainPen #WaterColour #InkyParker51

Went to dark in the shadows on today's #PortraitChallenge, so she looks very angry instead of wary, but after seeing what Ai rubbish a no longer respected FP company threw out, whatever I make is always better than that junk. My version of, Samuel Peploe's painting of Jennie Blyth in 1902

This was the first week of my subscription to harvest my own vegetables. It's a local initiative and a 3km pleasant (through the woods and fields) bike ride for me. I'm very happy this is available so close.

I love making skirts because basically you don't need a pattern thus no need to work very precise. This would be different when making a dress. Now I'm wondering if I should take the challenge because of the fun of it, but I prefer skirts anyway and downside is it could also make me very frustrated. On the other hand, when all fails, I can still make a skirt from whatever I attempted 😅😂

2026-04-26T20:27:41Z

I'm not very good in getting plants from seed. So today went out to get some tomato plants. I tried several years in our back garden because DH doesn't like a vegetable garden in our front garden. But our front garden gets better sun. Still not ideal because too many trees, but worth a try. So this year I got the get go and looking forward to trying it with somewhat better circumstances. I hope it gets enough sun 🍀🤞🏼 Day 64/100 #The100DayProject #FountainPen #Sketchbook #InkyParker51

I went on Vinted to sell a few items, which did happen successfully, but then I also found lots is fabric is being sold. So I can't help myself and bought a few fabrics 🙈. I have a skirt in mind, nothing at all like this sketch, but this was the prettiest paper I had lying around 😁. To be continued. I suddenly had the urge to write out recipes (I get that urge once in a while). This is my most asked for (and shared) recipe. It was a recipe in Sunset Magazine by Mary. I've since often done several sessions in a row to perfect it and then loose the recipe, rinse and repeat 🙈. Although I always start from the base recipe, I also always tweak it, so I do feel it's sort of mine as well. Please make it if you want. I've cycled to the nearest IKEA before, but I don't know the route so we'll, so just follow whatever is recommended. Today it was such a lovely route with much more fields instead of mostly suburbia. I've written it out, so I can take it again next time. Day 57/100 #The100DayProject #100DayProject #FountainPen #WaterColour #Sketchbook #Hobonichi #InkyParker51 #MixedMedia

My husband had a cold shoulder, so can't do too much in the garden, which he usually does. As it was perfect weather to be outside, not too cold, not too warm, I had a go at digging up some bamboo which was planted by previous owners 🙈 Day 42/100 #The100DayProject #100DayProject #FountainPen #WaterColour #Sketchbook #Hobonichi #InkyParker51
