Sir Alastair King has been named the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (a largely ceremonial role as the King's representative).

However, that excludes the City of London, which has its own Lord-Lieutenant, but it's held in commission -- that is, shared by several people. Including, as it happens Sir Alastair King.

Which makes me wonder how often one person has been Lord-Lieutenant in two places at the same time.
