I think these made sense originally, on the 9&#34; screen of the original Macintosh, but I have 3 x 24&#34; monitors. If I have a little window on the right hand monitor and the menu for it is top left on the left, the menu is ~60 inches away. I have my middle monitor as the default/main one, so a global menu would appear on there.
