Reaper has an exceptionally deep, powerful bite.

But that’s not what makes this drill important.

Watch what happens when the threat changes.

While Reaper is committed to the bite, strikes begin coming from different directions. He has to recognize that the situation has changed, disengage from one target, and immediately address the new threat.

That’s retargeting.

In a real attack, an aggressor isn’t going to stand still and give the dog one problem to solve. The attacker may fight back, introduce a weapon, change position, or create a new threat from another direction.

A protection dog cannot become so committed to one bite that he stops understanding the rest of the fight.

Reaper brings serious power. More importantly, he stays clear enough under pressure to use it where it’s needed.

A real protection dog must understand the fight—not just know how to bite.

Fortress K9’s are bred and raised to be whatever you need them to be. We have developed, through years of experience, at training method that keeps the dog flexible until you take them home. Our dogs can integrate into an elderly woman’s home who lives alone. Or a bustling young family with three kids. What do you need your Fortress K9 to be?
