Attempted to get to work early so I can work on some backlogged projects, only to realize I lost my phone. I was mostly worried about all the baby pictures I haven't backed up yet. It's like coming home.

If you are new to the Linux ecosystem and want to tinker, I would stick with the base system and not the immutable versions. GNOME is considered the default but the KDE spin is very popular.

GNOME requires some tweaking to be usable in my opinion, most can be fixed by installing gnome-tweaks.

KDE is more windows like. People say they have an easier time transitioning compared to GNOME. My gripe with KDE is its too customizable with buttons and knobs everywhere.

I personally like updating and installing packages via the terminal. DNF's output is very nice and readable compared to the software center. With modern Linux you don't have to really ever touch the terminal if you don't want to, but it can make life more easier once its understood.

2026-09-18T15:45:09Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsw3rlcu0xd2nqmn85l5e5n6zrpxg2fzvfrjdplxc5aa3640p6eczczyz2nlpa2ygvxzrnrw97lq35zqu76sjx7vju9yxqr0jha0gntmd8l2r43mt8 In reply to nevent1q…f8e7
_________________________

That's what I tell myself before I end up eating them all 😂😭

2026-09-18T15:28:33Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsp3yv3a350wljlgq4mjtljkpyhmsex62wtnq9wgl0u0lt3jzw6sxszyz2nlpa2ygvxzrnrw97lq35zqu76sjx7vju9yxqr0jha0gntmd8l22tauds The GoogleStreet car is in town.

2026-09-17T15:20:35Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsf8wnfamph0h293pc37ccugzmmsyne7eywnw7jxx9dfcrkvgda5dgzyz2nlpa2ygvxzrnrw97lq35zqu76sjx7vju9yxqr0jha0gntmd8l2kyecqc The stillness of everything as the sun went down was most needed and appreciated.

2026-09-17T05:51:38Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsvqe4dn996qz5ykc5ukzshzgerjjcj4kdrz46e6qpxznx73r3jnvszyz2nlpa2ygvxzrnrw97lq35zqu76sjx7vju9yxqr0jha0gntmd8l20hcvgg In reply to nevent1q…4lrw
_________________________

Dude!
