The brief version:

• LLMs are founded under eugenicist thought.
• LLMs (as implied by the word "large") require scale such that they can only be effectively used in ways that profit fascists, and with disproportionate environmental impact.
• LLMs are part of a program of fascist attacks on labor and artistic expression.
• LLMs act to proliferate disinformation in ways that benefit fascists.

Chatting in DMs, and it came up that many of my favorite things about Rust aren't actually anything to do with Rust itself — almost any imperative language could do what Rust did and copy typeclasses (traits/impls in Rust parlance) and ADTs/DUs (enums in Rust) from ML-like languages.

It's just that for whatever reason, those two language features have gotten strongly associated with functional programming despite not having any strict ties to functional paradigms.
