NOW MORE CROC

For a little while I've been wanting to refresh Cyrik's design to incorporate as many crocodile features as possible. When FloYote 🤍💙🧡⚾ (npub1hrv…5668) opened for ref sheet comms, I had to jump on the chance. Through two pages of notes they totally got what I was going for and even made a couple suggestions that are now in the design. It's so cool, thanks so much!

(The ref sheet isn't explicit but he is in briefs so I'm masking it to be extra-safe.)

At IFC my sister asked what furry meant to me, and my answer was too long, but one thing I stumbled on that I hadn't considered before was: for guys specifically, it's a space where we can express love and affection for each other that doesn't have to be smothered in shit-talking, and nobody cares whether it's "gay," and it doesn't have to be sexual.

Like, some dudes have never been pat on the head and called a good boy, and y'all, we gotta fix that. We are living with the consequences of too many dudes not getting that.

#Python tip: If you're writing a script in the "traditional Unix" style, where it streams input from one or more sources and defaults to stdin, the fileinput module does all that for you. Just say:

for line in fileinput.input(): ...

And you'll get lines from all the files named in your command line arguments.

If your script does its own argument parsing, no problem, just pass the list of filenames from your argument parser to fileinput.input().

The module can report back filename and line number for logs and error messages. Check it out: https://docs.python.org/3/library/fileinput.html
