Thousands of people were killed, and millions were affected. This is the same region that was devastated by the 2004 tsunami, which killed more than 600,000 people.

The recent flooding was largely caused by extensive deforestation linked to palm oil plantations and logging operations. Many of these companies are connected to business interests associated with the current president, Prabowo Subianto.

Despite the scale of the disaster, the government has not declared it a national disaster. As a result, official aid has been limited.
Most recovery efforts are currently being carried out independently by local communities like him, with little state support. Aid distribution and coordination are largely community-led.

Any help will be appreciated

quoting
nevent1q…9jfx
This time, I need your help, Bitcoiners.

Plebs, you may have already heard about the floods and landslides that struck Sumatra, Indonesia, on November 26, 2025. The three provinces most affected were West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh.

Aceh, where I was born, also suffered a major disaster 21 years ago—the earthquake and tsunami. But now, Aceh has once again been struck by tragedy. This time it was not an earthquake or a tsunami, but floods and landslides. Even worse, floodwaters rushing down from the highlands carried millions of logs, smashing into homes along riverbanks and hilly areas.

As a Bitcoiner, I am deeply saddened to see my country like this—people losing their families, their homes and land destroyed, and their belongings swept away by the floods. This ecological disaster has claimed 1,069 lives, and the number will continue to rise, as many bodies are still buried under flood debris and landslides.

What is most heartbreaking is how slow our government has been in handling this disaster. Local governments, including the governor, have been unable to respond quickly due to very limited resources.

You may have also heard that several international media outlets have reported on how absurd and slow the Indonesian government has been in responding to this disaster, showing clear incompetence in managing the crisis.

Since the very first day, victims have demanded that the Indonesian government declare the affected areas a national disaster, so that international aid can enter—just as it did after the Aceh tsunami on December 26, 2004. Thanks to foreign aid, Aceh recovered much faster back then.

However, President Prabowo Subianto (that despicable leader) has selfishly refused to declare a national disaster. A man who was proven to have committed human rights violations during the Suharto regime now claims, in front of national media, that he is capable of handling this disaster. In reality, he has proven completely incapable.

I am furious and filled with hatred—there are no insults harsh enough for him. Recently, credible data has circulated showing that Prabowo owns palm oil companies, with thousands of hectares of plantations in the mountains of Sumatra. Forests have been cleared and replaced with palm oil plantations. This environmental destruction is what led to this tragic disaster.

Until now—25 days after the disaster, as I write this—recovery efforts have been carried out almost entirely by volunteers from various regions, working independently. The government’s role has been minimal, and when present, it is far from proportional to the vast resources they possess. Government aid has been scarce and slow. At this point, the only hope lies with independent volunteers from within and outside the region, though their impact remains limited.

The current situation is still filled with fear and trauma, as people worry that heavy rains may strike again at any moment. Victims want to return home from evacuation shelters, but a major problem remains. Homes near rivers are no longer habitable, buried under thick layers of sediment left by the floods. You can see these conditions in the attached photos.

A few days after this ecological disaster, I had the idea to open a special donation fund for Bitcoiners. However, I was afraid I would not be able to fully account for the funds. After all, I am nobody—just a Bitcoiner from a small region. I know trust is the biggest issue, so at first, I remained silent.

But today, I have no other choice. Seeing the dire situation of the victims, combined with my frustration toward an incompetent government, I have decided to open and accept Bitcoin donations, or even just a few sats, from fellow Bitcoiners here on Nostr. We know that Bitcoin is not only for storing wealth, but also for humanity.

I have discussed this with fellow Bitcoiners here in Aceh. If donations are received, I will convert the sats into rupiah to purchase equipment needed to clean homes buried in mud and to repair houses after the floods, so that victims can return to their homes. Our focus is post-disaster rebuilding.

The needed equipment includes hoes, chainsaws, shovels, tall rubber boots for mud, wheelbarrows, and other tools according to the needs of the affected villages.

I am nobody—just an ordinary Bitcoiner with a small amount of Bitcoin in a hot wallet, living in a country that is constantly struck by disasters. Doubts about trust are understandable, and this message may not even be read by many people. At the very least, this is a small effort I can make to help the victims after the disaster, with support from the beloved Bitcoin community.

If you wish to donate, any amount of sats is welcome. I will be accountable here. If you have suggestions or ideas, I would be happy to receive them. All aid will be distributed directly to the affected areas, with reports made as transparently as possible. Thank you.

Lightning Wallet address:

rotundhood441@walletofsatoshi.com

On-chain:

bc1qvg3k8qaasr8c7clucmzv895p6zwfnlqpttu0ptz7au20gcslk22ste255e

Below are several international media reports on the ecological disaster in Sumatra and Aceh. It was rather special because I got to experienced it in Spain and be part of the team.

Why did I participate in the same retreat more than once? I feel the more the work you do, the deeper layers you can penetrate. Its like peeling an onion. Each of the meditations bring me closer to myself and to Source, filled with unconditional love. Of course I still faced with triggers and challenges but at the end of the day, it is just a compass that pointed out my own personal growth.

A few things that I took away from this retreat are:
❤️ The more love you give, the more love you receive.
❤️ Your body is the wisdom keeper, trust your body, trust yourself.
❤️ Everyone has medicine for you and you are their medicine too.
❤️ Healing comes from facing the uncomfortable with gratitude, love and awareness.

This retreat will happen again in Bali next month and few in Spain next year, so check out their website (https://www.anandasarita.com/tantra-transformation-bali-nov)

2024-10-20T09:07:41Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs0wyhmyqqku5tw0caete8tvzg3ykdte8ke5c9w45d64jqsfs0pf6czyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfqu3r2rj5 6 days later and I am still suffering from jet lag 2024-10-18T19:54:38Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsp0u3xd55670uuweqf9kulrlhvpa9a5d50jv0zgexd6gcr5jshu2gzyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfqu77t8vz In reply to nevent1q…65yc
_________________________

Normal people love cats and dogs 😁 2024-09-30T06:36:51Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqstln7d3xpk6a79y3n5dt4uesjg7pc5909l07f5kjmjdrudres4alszyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfquhg6tea We need specific nostr client that show only cats and dogs video 2024-09-29T22:34:06Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsrux7vq83yexfr3a0twcse24eku2wgr7xxxt7hqa3e3uw4vyjhyhszyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfqugg2kd4 The truth is you always have time. Not having enough touch can make a person stressed, anxious, or depressed.

We receive a lot of touch when we are babies, but as soon as we reach adulthood, we barely receive any.

More often, people are not lonely, but all they need is just touch from someone else.

Touch does not need to be involved with sexual activity; it can be in a non-sexual way, for example, from hugging, cuddling with a friend, receiving a massage, or dancing.

Do not neglect your need for physical touch because it is important for your well-being. 2024-09-22T02:15:57Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsytd95khh7v4awzut5yx7huwhnagg3du9a7gm0mkjemn0t98wzteszyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfquw655zv Too much masculine energy this week. Emotional Awareness - #Tantra teaches men to connect with their emotions, which is often overlooked in today's society. Many men are taught that expressing emotions is a sign of weakness, but this mindset can lead to an imbalance in their masculine and feminine energies. A truly healthy masculine expression includes the ability to embrace and express emotions, reflecting a balanced and developed feminine side.

2. Intimacy and Connection - Tantra fosters deep intimacy and connection with your partner through conscious sexual practices. By harnessing sexual energy, Tantra not only enhances your relationship with your partner but also transforms your relationship with yourself. Additionally, it teaches control over sexual energy, leading to improved vitality and overall health.

3. Healing Past Traumas - Tantra provides powerful tools for healing past traumas and emotional wounds. Its meditations, which focus on the body rather than the mind, penetrate the subconscious to help break old patterns and lead to a more fulfilling life.

If you're interested in exploring Tantra more deeply, there's a retreat happening this October with one of my favorite schools. There are still two spots available for men, so feel free to DM me if you'd like more details.
2024-08-28T23:42:04Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsdwuu30mzerhulg03r5fhclkednpu9th508gdlcqn7qke6ajx880czyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfquh90vmv Nostr will be the refugee camp for mainstream social media censorship 2024-08-28T02:25:44Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsgj9tupyrym2ez3739t8sv40924qyfdhv36h3tvwauepyh9kenjlszyzuuute380mw05gk4zdg9tksxr4hs2cxud9gxd4vmk5ejphggyfqu9dcv3j Bitcoin in Tantra’s perspective

Tantra teaches us self awareness, where Bitcoin teaches us external awareness

You can only understand Tantra by experiencing it.
