Reiuji Utsuho, a very cute and radioactive hell raven. She never really expected this power nor did she realize it would ever happen, but she now holds part of Yatagarasu's spirit within her. She's very much a bird brain, poor girl struggles with anything at this point that isn't involving the maintenance of the Hell of Blazing Fires and the nuclear fusion reactor. She cares a lot about her family in Chireiden, to the point she may get a bit dangerous if she ever worries about them being threatened. That's not helped by the fact her bird brain has a difficult time actually figuring out what to consider a threat.

A bit of an odd post for me but the existence of this game pisses me off. Car Park Capital is a tycoon game stylized after games like Rollercoaster Tycoon, and it apes the style very well. That's all.

The problem is, it doesn't do anything else right. The game is a superficial commentary on car dependency. One that is downright insulting. I'm not a big fan of car dependency myself, it was a mistake and while cars can be cool they absolutely should not have taken over life. This game however assumes the player is too dumb to get that message, and so it occasionally guts its own possible mechanical depth and so on in order to make sure the message is front and center. One of the first things the game teaches the player is how to access a "propaganda menu" to buy "car propaganda" in order to turn people into "carbrained people." The game at no point wants to actually let the player think, it's all just trying to put front and center that cars are bad. The satire loses its luster in mere second and from then on becomes grating.

The game being bad isn't really what pisses me off though. It's the fact the developer intentionally kneecapped a game that could've been good because he had to make absolutely 100% certain nobody could ever dare think this game was about anything other than cars being bad. The fundamentals of a way better and more interesting game are there. The idea of buying out land to replace it with car parks would do a good job of hitting the player with realizations of how fucked everything is. It's such a small and easy fix that would solve the vast majority of the game's issues. Let the player have the sandbox and let the actions in the sandbox speak for themselves.

After some talks with Konami, it looks like the devs for Vampire Survivors finally got the rights to release all of the original Castlevania arranges made for Ode to Castlevania in the OST. A truly wondrous moment. The DLC was top tier on all fronts, and the arranges are all insanely worth it. A whopping 48 tracks from all across the series. The OST's price wasn't even increased, it's still only $3 without a sale. There is a warning that the tracks could vanish at some point if Konami decides to make licensing a bitch, but since they're just files (both mp3 and FLAC) it doesn't matter. Can easily make copies.

Also find it kind of funny this is happening as Belmont's Curse was just released. This feels like a way bigger and more meaningful release, even though it's just the OST for a DLC that's been out a while now. In my mind this DLC was a perfect sendoff, a loving acknowledgement that the series has long since ended but it was a great run. Belmont's Curse meanwhile feels like an attempt to make the series into something else for the sake of artificially keeping it "alive" and "modern." That's somewhat concerning that the game that plays more like an actual Castlevania title resonates far less with the rest of the series than something made for Vampire Survivors.

Frankly, it's difficult to write about the perverted old hag of the backdoors. She's a dangerous and old secret god, and also one of the sages of Gensokyo. Okina is definitely aiming to be a god in the most menacing manner. The kind who gives great favor to those she likes, and destroys those she doesn't. She loves the performative acts, big reveals. She's kind of hard to get on with. Her power is one difficult to match, as is only fitting for one of the sages. If she takes a liking to you, it might be best to try turning her down as nicely as possible. She might not listen, but at least you'll have a shot. If she doesn't (or you accept for some reason), expect to know little peace as Okina has many ideas of how to have fun.

It's been a long road, getting from there to here. No, seriously though, I feel there's some immense irony in how long it took to get the first girl some art. She's the one who got me thinking more and more about OC stuff and got me interested in messing around with character creators (well, kinda, I mean I enjoyed being silly with character creators before but that's a different thing).

So, who do we actually have here? Cute shut-in lolicon loli nerd lamia, of course. Chisana's a mess, in all regards. Not great at taking care of herself, definitely stays up far too much late into the night. Spends a lot of time on whatever game or such that catches her interest. She is terrible with people, and socializing, only really able to talk with those she can get used to. Lynette, the doll maid, has to go to great efforts to take care of her. She's pretty smart, though it's not exactly an all-around intelligence. More of the kind where she can make things she gets interested in and will seek deep knowledge as such. The proper all-around genius would involve handling people, handling conversation, a capacity for extremely skillful planning, and the like. Chisana isn't that kind. She's more the kind who could make some weird drug for temporary invisibility or build a strange device for anti-gravity.

Her appearance is really representative of her in so many ways. Long messy hair, eye bags, freckles, a constantly mixed expression. Of course she has to wear glasses. Her clothes are very minimal, baggy shirts and the like, a large lab coat, some simple underwear, and a nice hat (because hats are cute). Not much meat to speak of, though her lower half would be slightly larger since the tail forms there. The watch is pure convenience, she'd definitely lose track of time otherwise. A bulky durable 2-in-1 laptop is cool, so of course she'd want one (she has a proper computer of course, but laptops can be fun).

The Child of Miare, the current one maintaining the Gensokyo Chronicle. Hieda no Akyuu. Her work is very important, keeping knowledge of all that exists within the realm of fantasy. With documentation comes memory, and with memory means they can still exist. The youkai value one such as her, but everyone else values her for other reasons. Intelligence is important for teaching. Scarce few people can become her friend proper though. It's hard for most to approach a rich and well known figure, especially when everyone knows about her oddities, the lower lifespan and the ability. Still she's a nice girl who just wants to live a proper life as does anyone else. She's even taken to writing books, a series of murder mysteries by "Agatha Chris Q." How nice.

The goddess of marketplaces is here to assert her power. Assuming there is a marketplace at least. Chimata has had a rough go of it over time, with people valuing the actual marketplaces and trade less and less, instead favoring easier and more indirect methods of shopping. To that end, she was made weak. Unable to live. Gensokyo was a reprieve for her, a place where a proper marketplace can still happen frequently. Now with the ability cards having been traded so much and the markets given life, she can enjoy the world once again. She may have accidentally caused a few other incidents as a consequence of what she did, but it'll all work out in the end.

The flawless celestial, or so she'd like you to think. A resident of the heavens, able to enjoy the perfect peaches much as she likes. All that is on the surface is boring to her, a mere waste of time, it's all so much better in the heavens. Yet no matter how much she says all of that, her true thoughts can be felt quite easily. She loves the earth's food, the way all of the people of the earth are so unique. A perfect life isn't the one for her. She was given the life of a celestial not by training, but because of a familial connection to another group. She never had the time to prepare herself or take on the celestial mindset. Thus the perfection of the heavens took a toll on her upbringing. She became overly confident and easily bored. Her time on the earth isn't one spent trying to tease people, much as she comes off like that, but instead it's one in which Tenshi wants to find so much to care about.

Just what is it that you dream about, I wonder.

It's a baku, and more specifically the one who rules over the realm of dreams. Doremy Sweet. Her job may seem an easy one, in reality it's anything but. Managing the dream world is hard work, especially when she holds minimal control over the realm. The dream world itself has a mind of its own, twisting shapes and reforming constantly to fit the state of the world's dreams. Worse still, some especially strong spirits can retain form and escape from the dreams in which they are confined. There's nothing worse than an oni or a celestial running around trying to cause chaos, though thankfully under normal operations they can be contained. Doremy puts in a lot of work to keep this all running. Of course at times she may seem a bit smug, but all the dreams she has seen and eaten have given her great insight into those she meets.

Played Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo, mostly just to say I did give the game a chance. Well, it's about as expected. With Japanese voices it's at least not grating on the ears. Really, it doesn't look like Castlevania and it doesn't play like Castlevania, and neither of those are in a way that is justifiable. You can give the PS2 games a lot of slack since they're some of the first attempts to make something of that style with the series. Same for the N64 games. Even then, they're just a bit jank rather than actively trying to redo everything. No screenshots of it because I already wasted enough time on the thing, and Carrie is cute.

What Belmont's Curse does is instead pivot to pure "souls-like" gameplay. There's an immense focus on flow, dodging, annoyingly long bosses, and the such. Bosses are entirely about very rigid dodge and hit maneuvers, no room for creativity, gotta do it exactly the way the devs planned. I thought that would be it though, nope. Turns out there's a healing mechanic ripped straight from those kinds of games as well. Three charges, a few extra can be stored as excess, and that's kind of it. Kind of takes away from what I enjoyed about the Castlevania games focused on exploration, they were always more JRPG-styled than anything else. You'd get piles of weird stuff and could use basically all of it. Here inventory is restricted to only what the devs deemed most important.

Cutscenes unironically look like they're based directly off the Castlevania Netflix series. The visuals in game, while nice, don't look anything like the Castlevania style. They're closer to the kind of stuff you'd see in that other game, Hades. I have no real opinion on Hades and that style may work for that game, but it absolutely does not work for Castlevania. Doesn't really scream horror nor older manga.

I don't have a lot else specific to say, so I'll sum it up simply. It's not at all a good Castlevania game. It doesn't seem like a great game overall. It just seems okay. If you want a game that takes from Dark Souls and Hollow Knight but is not as well executed, go ahead. It's something new and isn't going to be absolutely horrendous. If you want anything else, say a new Castlevania title, I doubt this will be worth it. It just seems like a mindless "hard" game where the difficulty is only in getting down the muscle memory. It's a game where you can tell that it's being made by the Dead Cells devs.

C'mon, you can hold your drink better than that. The pinnacle of the oni's strength is here, and you're not even going to stand your ground? You'd have to be a fool to think that way.

Yuugi Hoshiguma, one of the big four and an oni who chose to stay with Former Hell. Currently she operates as the manager of all business and hot springs in the place, a tough job when you're living with a bunch of idiotic oni. She regularly has to knock some sense into them. As for her personality, she just wants to see you show yourself. No weakness, no hiding, bare your true self to her and try to make a stand for what you believe. Do that, and she'll quickly come to be friendly. Though I'd be careful getting too close, hear that some of the others of the big four have teased her in the past for being too much of a romantic who knows nothing of sensual acts. Even hand-holding might end up dangerous if embarrassment takes over.

Since I got reminded of Mystia’s Izakaya, some bonus stuff that I didn’t do during my main play through but came to mind and so I’ve done now. Game really does have an absurd amount of content for what it costs.

First, Froggy Coins. Collecting and holding 100 Silver Froggy Coins grants a special outfit and a Golden Froggy Coin. Holding is emphasized because you cannot spend them, this isn’t a lifetime count. It is only counting held coins. That wasn’t a problem before updates and DLC, but with updates and DLC Silver Froggy Coins actually have a use to buy old event items and DLC music. You can only get at most 8 coins a day, with 4 coming from the Moriya branch shrine and a possible additional 4 coming from a special DLC shop added in DLC 5 (but that requires unlocking and obtaining special currency). Interacting with the shrine also takes 30 minutes each time, so it’s really difficult to justify doing even with the possible bonuses you can get from it. I definitely spent over 100 coins myself before I realized I needed to hold them. Pain.

The other thing is gap maps. If you make sure to keep up donations to the Hakurei Shrine, you unlock an alternate form of travel where money is used instead of time. This is possibly one of the most useful unlocks in the entire game, and it’s so easy to miss. Again, you can only donate once a day and your options are 100 yen, 500 yen, and 1000 yen. It can take a while.

With the fall arriving, and the greater amount of night, the werewolf will of course see more activity. What more to give energy to a werewolf than the moon? Speaking of, the werewolf herself. Kagerou isn't much of a traditional werewolf. She hides herself away in the bamboo forest, making minimal contact with others. A little anti-social, though she just seems anxious about what others would think of her. She does still put in her best effort, helping with the Grassroots Youkai Network. Be cautious around her of course, if ever she is in heat you might be in danger. Even if she'll end up regretting her actions the next morning, she can't exactly control herself in the moment.

Not quite the exact time, but the time is still fitting enough. After all, it's the seasonal change to fall. The season of harvest, the season of falling colorful leaves. The air gets colder and the days will start to get shorter. And so, the Aki sisters arrive. Minoriko happily goes around to all, helping bless the harvests. Meanwhile Shizuha remains in her more lonely state, painting the leaves alone and kicking the trees to knock them down. Sadly the latter mostly only gets recognized by the former, but the sisters still enjoy life. It's part of the seasons, and few get to say they're part of the changing seasons.

So since we're practically finished with it (minus the last episode but if you know anything about this series the last episode might as well be a bullet to the head and we're going to watch it anyways), some thoughts on the last piece of Star Trek media I'm really willing to watch.

Honestly expected worse of Enterprise. It doesn't get talked about as much and whenever I did end up hearing about it the feelings were always mixed at best. In my opinion though, years on and giving it a fair shot, the series is pretty good. It doesn't match the absolute peaks of some of the rest of what had come out of Star Trek, but I mostly enjoyed it the full way through and it did feel like a proper caring attempt to showcase the first Enterprise, before the United Federation of Planets, back when it was still just the Earth Federation. There are some complaints and issues you can definitely raise with continuity but it never really felt like the series was spitting in the face of Star Trek continuity, just trying as hard as possible to work with a franchise where the existence of a continuity was debatable at best in the first series and took a while to get established after the fact.

The actual NX-01 Enterprise itself is a ship I find pretty enjoyable. The thing is held together with sticks and glue, Starfleet genuinely slapped together whatever LCD screens they had access to onto a star ship. It's full of that feeling of just trying to get it to work, and being wildly surprised that it even does. Technologies like the universal translator are barely out of the testing phase.

The series also had a lot more focused plots, and of those I definitely feel mixed. The Temporal Cold War was kind of boring, the problem being our main cast has no real method of impacting the thing because it's a war between people using time travel. There were good moments with it, but whenever it was focused I felt a little checked out. Another recurring plot element I did like though was Vulcans as "antagonists." Throughout the series the Vulcans are still trying to help Earth establish their peaceful Federation, and the entire time the logically minded space elves are being subjected to endless humanity. They're never outright evil* (there's a few questionable things here and there) but instead it's a lot of Vulcans trying to plead to Starfleet to stop letting Enterprise do every foolish thing imaginable. Any time plots involved Andorians was great fun, especially since most of those episodes featured Jeffrey Combs. There's a lot more stuff like the Xindi war, honestly it was pretty good overall. Very much a war in the proper style of Trek instead of trying to dazzle with huge space battles.

Our main cast is pretty good, not going to dig too deep into everyone since this is already too long a post. Very unprepared people doing the best they can to be professional. Never ditches that ideal thankfully, could've easily turned to shit.

Oh, and I guess I should mention. The opening. This is actually the thing most know about the series. Yes, it has a cheesy kind of unfitting opening. I have Faith of the Heart stuck in my head actually now, but I have no idea what anyone was thinking pulling this. At least it's vaguely fitting of a song instead of using whatever pop hit or such track was around.

...This is a bit of a thing. So as before, I wanted to revamp Gigin a bit in order to get her a character sheet and give her more unique traits. This kinda got weirdly sidelined . I may have gone overboard. Anyways, she's here now.

So as before, she's a very proud dwarf with a ditzy attitude to life when it comes to most things. Though she's also a harpy mix, leading to the feathered wings and the talon legs. Her dwarf blood offers a bit more of a human structure to her hands. And of course, as part dwarf, she partakes in great amounts of drinking and the likes, giving a decent plumpness to her body. For a loli she's got quite a bit of meat overall, very small and extremely plump. She's real light on clothing since she mostly wants to be able to move around easily no matter where she is (regardless of how the plumpness causes problems with that). She's also still got her fancy headset goggles to be able to navigate easily no matter where she is. Plus a tan variant as she seems the type to get involved in any amount of weird things, your choice of an actual tan or whatever else. Her drill hairs have been reduced, but she's gotten the ones she has extra sharpened and been given more volume as proper "drill" hairs.

As for some other personality aspects, she's been deeply invested in exploring the skies and other planets for places to mine (even if exploration isn't a very dwarven trait). That harpy blood has given her great desires to see as much as she could. She still gets dragged around by Alice of course, but that's a small deal compared to all she gets to see.

Welcome to the fun zone, trying to do any such idea is very hard. Best I could suggest is making the ears extra pointy and a bit long, and also giving leaf clothing or some such. The best way to convey it honestly might be to do the inverse, weakening some of the succubus aspects. Maybe make the tail shorter and the horns relatively small, or do something like only having the tail. :thinkinghrr: Maybe have the succubus parts appear like twigs or something spiritual or something, being influenced by the elf blood.

I love how Gakkou Gurashi does this honestly. It’s such a perfect way to resolve everything that the girls truly can help bring back the world after everything they’ve seen and everyone they’ve encountered. The author definitely got inspired by the anime over time for that stuff too, there’s a few small things that the manga doesn’t do but still ends up coming back later on.

Overall though zombies aren’t a permanent threat. They’re scary and dangerous at the start, but ending on rebuilding is always the most fitting way to go. Rotting corpses only have so long to last. Knowledge still exists and there’s reserves of practically everything.

The graphics probably contributed to that but regardless, it was a malicious act that would brick saves people were playing with no warning nor indication of such a major change.

He apparently did it only to protest AI training but this didn't really do much of anything on that front. All it did was break actual player's saves, the scraping to power any AI was already long done.

Played through a decent chunk of Internet Survivor Survivors, sadly for as much as I enjoy the game's charm I cannot suggest it unless you're really invested in seeing the silly Touhou jokes everywhere. It looks nice and the music is great, but the actual gameplay is very bare-bones even for a game of this type. There's no real unlocks. So far there's only two stages repeated over three times each over the course of six levels, with differences in time of day as you go. The difficulty is insanely easy, only the last stage actually bothers to require some upgrades. There's only 8 weapons and evolutions don't require any special conditions, they just happen upon reaching max level for the weapon. Flan is the only playable character. This is about what I expected but it's a bit disappointing.

For currently $12.74 in USD and normally going to be $14.99, definitely not worth it. I like it, but it's a bit much. For around half the full price of Internet Survivor Survivors, you could get Vampire Survivors with Ode to Castlevania off sale. That alone is more than enough gameplay for this style of game and it actually has puzzles and secrets to unlock extra stuff and give you a reason to keep playing.

Lunasa, the string instrument poltergeist of the Prismriver sisters. Well, poltergeists as we often think of them is a misnomer, but that's besides the point. Lunasa's a rather melancholic and reserved girl. She's not mean or anything mind, just a bit pessimistic most of the time. Lunasa will still gladly preform up on stage with her sisters and that drummer. You'd want to be careful listening to her playing solo, a little bit is calming but too much and you might end up falling into a bit of sadness. It's not something she can help, it's just how her ability works. Thankfully her sister's abilities help keep this in check.

The gap hag who created the realm finally has a chance to appear. Yukari really just can't help herself. Always has to appear menacing and use some other event as an excuse to appear. For all her appearances she makes to seem like an unfeeling monster, she does genuinely have strong feelings about Gensokyo and people alike. She wants to be feared, but at the same time she really wants to make friends and take care of those she cares about. This leads her to very dumb actions, such as causing problems for others in an effort to become friends or hiding the fact she's helping take care of Reimu. The only ones who really see her true nature often are Ran and Chen. Some others know of her true nature though Yukari still tries to hide it from them. Perhaps at one point another had been trusted enough to see her act freely, but that connection is long lost, even if the science era in which that connection existed is yet to arrive.

The ever hated amanojaku, Seija Kijin. Of course she's only happy to keep propagating the hate towards her. You might think it has to do with her ability or her existence, but it's more of her individual personality that causes this. She's got the mind of a rebellious teen, wishing to be contradictory at all times. Seija is really hard to deal with due to this, but there's a trick to it all. She only really knows how to deal with being contradictory and receiving hate. If you don't direct such feelings towards her and instead show disinterest or love, she can't really handle it.

What is there to say about Eternity Larva that hasn't already been said? Well, let's try anyways. Larva is mostly your standard fairy and nice to be around, a fairy who mostly savors the summer. Though in all of this, there's always that worry about her. She is suspiciously well informed about things no fairy should know. Sometimes when passing by her, you can get a feeling that there's an endless well of power hidden there. Dangerous fairy. Just don't call her out on any of it and you should be fine.

To get into this whole thing is frankly a mess, but essentially this is a doujin anime series that started out as fan re-interpretations of main games. Towards the end though they started doing original plots instead of what was teased next because the money was running dry and doujin anime isn't exactly easy to produce. Notably, while most watch it with a fandub track, the series actually has no official voice track. It is music and sound effects only.

There's a lot of mixed opinions on the series from a lot of people. Personally I don't mind it since it's supposed to just be some fun animation, but some people are retarded and take it as an official Touhou anime. There's also Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream and Hifuu Club Activity Record for other doujin anime. I like the Hifuu one the most personally, it's all original stories and does a good job trying to give unique and interesting views on the world and the Hifuu club.
